Wished I had bought a different cover

I ordered the cover through the internet. I liked the idea of a sack with closure. The quality of the outside is very nice, no problem there, however the INSIDE is not smooth as I had hoped. Especially the seams on top are extremely rough. As the cover is a tight fit ...Read More

Good construction. One bad design aspect

I just rec'd it yesterday and I do like it. It's well-made. I thought it would be softer, based on the pictures, but it's really stiff. I imagine after time, it will break in.

The bad design aspect is the identification tag. It's inside the sleeve, about 2 inches deep and impossible to apply your name and contact information. If you were somehow able to, I imagine the thief would be so impressed w/ your feat of engineering, that they would immediately return it and pay you for the trouble! ;)Show Less

    Great Case

Great cover for the nook. The quality is top notch and the inside is soft and provides great protection. A little pricey but well worth it.

    A great choice

Due to backorders, my choices were limited. I decided to invest in a Jack Spade, since I was sure the quality would be great.....I was not disappointed. It is sturdy , functional, and not too serious. Great quality, built to last with nice sturdy construction and heavy duty snap. My nook slips in and out beautifully. I wanted a cover that was free of straps and flaps, so this was the perfect choice for me.

Why carry your Nook in a bag?

One of the reviewers could't understand getting a book type cover so I'll explain why I'm glad I bought a "book type" cover for my Nook. This looks like a bag that you carry your Nook in and you have to remove your Nook when reading. I would suggest getting the book type cover. Your Nook stays in via straps and you don't have to take it out of the cover to charge the Nook, or when the Nook is attached to the computer, or when using ear pods for listening to music. The front of the "book" folds back behind the Nook and stays there while reading via a strap, so it doesn't have to stay open and be held as a book would.

    Great Cover

I bought this cover for my nook, and it protects it so well. I love the snap closer and it keeps my nook safe when I travel to and from work. Best cover I found so far!

    great cover

This is a great cover. Looks nice, is durable, and is easy to open and close. It protects my nook when traveling, when in my bag, and from my kids' sticky fingers. I don't understand the covers that open and close like a book. Isn't that one of the great parts about the nook - that you don't have to hold it open like a book? This one does the job and has a bit of character. Great - no complaints or wishes, just what I wanted.

    Simple, clean and functional

A very simple nook cover, but it does the job well. The nook is safely protected inside the slip case, and there are no elements that will damage the nook at all. The inside is lined with a check print cotton, and the inside rim is wax wear, as is the snap closure. The traditional Jack Spade ID tag is inside the cover as well.

The blue is quite stunning, and gives this cover a great summer / beach feel to it. The quality is top notch.

What is love about it most is the understated luxury of Jack Spade. Very stylish, but built for a man. LOVE IT!

    Love my canvas cover!

I love my canvas cover! I just slide my nook inside the cover and snap it's protected. It keeps my nook from getting scratched or dirty and it's stiff enough that it all stays put and the whole thing easily slides in and out of my purse. It's the best.

    Nice, very sturdy cover

I am very happy with this new cover for my Nook. The material is very heavy and sturdy so I feel very confident that my Nook is well protected. My main concern is that the white canvas with become dingy with use. I'm *kind of* wishing I had purchased the black on black version. I chose this cover versus one of the flip, "ledger" types because I just wanted protection when I was transporting my Nook or when it was not in use. When I read I prefer the Nook to be "as is." I do wish that I could somehow still charge the Nook with the cover on, but oh well.
