    Okay But Not Great

I This book was poorly written. I found careless mistakes and mispelled words. Overall i guess it was Okay

    This story needs a plot!

The cover description is very misleading about there being a killer loose, this has nothing to do with the story and is far-reaching to include it on the cover. The characters are very poorly developed and the plot jumps around with little explanation. I think this author will find herself in future novels.

    Find yourself in this one

If you have every been a young naive woman then you will find yourself in this book. I know so many people who were as gullible as Amber was at one point in their lives, or who have had friends we love to hate at much as Che. They make us feel good about ourselves. This was a decnt first effort. I would have liked to see less internal dialogue and more action, but overall, this story was good. Waiting for the next one.

Don't waste your time or money

Forgive me if I'm being harsh, but this book was truly horrible. There was no plot development whatsoever. There were holes in the story and the few things that did happen were predictable. The story jumped around from event to event without explaining things or fully developing anything. For a first effort, it was mediocre at best. I'll hope that her next novel is a lot better than this one. I feel like I wasted my money. Don't make the same mistake.

    Promise but no punch

If you've ever dated someone who looked attractive but had nothing inside, you know all their is to know about Dippin'. There is the beginning of a plot but it doesn't deliver on any level. I hope Ms. Foxx will put a story in her next book

    Do you know this person?

A lot of people reading this might find themselves or a close friend in here, and then be insulted when they finally recognize themselves. Amber looks like she is calm and cool on the outside, but is messed up in a big way. She finally figuires out where she wants to go, but not before almost meeting disaster. Foxx also helps us to understand why the villian does some of the things he does. I just wish she had done that for Che too. A good first effort. Most authors get better, which means Ms. Foxx is on her way. Can't wait for the next. A must read for lovers of African American fiction.

    DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I've read books by a multitude of African American authors and I can honestly say that this was the WORST book I've ever read. I'm an avid reader with a good command of the English language and in my opinion, the author's purpose for this piece of fiction totally escaped me. I wasn't entertained or impressed, but very annoyed. There was no point to the story, unless the point was to give us some insight into triflin women like Amber. When we're introduced to her, she's presented as a professional and you keep reading and hoping that the plot will reveal itself. But the more we read, the less intersting the story gets. It read like someone's personal experience, and I got a real attitude reading about this triflin' chile who thought she had it going on; was clueless about herself as a person; and just clueless about life in general. I buy on average 3 or 4 books a month, and this is one I wish I could get my money back on!
