This book is excellent! I couldn't put it down. I would recommend this series (Kingdom Keepers 1 & 2) to any Disney fan. It gives you incite into the "other" side of Disney, (the behind the scenes stuff). The story is suspenceful and riveting. The characters were likeable and excellently written. It is clear the book is carefully researched, giving lots of details that a true Disney fan would know but would be new to others. There are a few chapters that were very suspenseful but no graphic violence. I would recommend this to 5th graders on up to adults. It was an enjoyable book and I passed it on to my friends.

Great Book

Well the only downside is that besides Maleficent and another character i won't say. THERE are no Disney characters. Tinker Bell and Ariel come, but there just people dressed as them. But of course, there are lots of animals, because of Animal Kingdom. But, it has lots ...

    Puppies rock.

Excellent plot but he wrote it badly. Had he read through his work the book would be much better.

Not as Good as Book One

I absolutely LOVE Disney World. I'd live there if they'd allow it. So, the premise of the Kingdom Keepers was very appealing to me. I really enjoyed the first book in this series, Disney After Dark. It was fun with a unique plot and interesting characters. I should mention that I'm an adult, but I read a great deal of kid lit and young adult books. Anyway, like I said, I loved book one. But Disney at Dawn just never drew me in the way After Dark did. The plot wasn't nearly so inventive, the characters were flat, and it just didn't have the spark of the first novel. I rated it at 3 stars, though I'd have said 2 1/2 if given that option. It was ok, but not something I'd recommend.
