This book is largely composed of first-person stories from young people with experience in various juvenile justice systems, but is framed by adult juvenile justice workers. The narratives show what was done to try to make these delinquents better people. The other main purposes of the book are describing and demonstrating causes of juvenile delinquency and suggesting solutions. I did find in some parts where it seemed as if they were going against what they said earlier. Such as the first evidence-based practice program they mentioned included all of the things that didn't work when it came to getting the youths out of delinquency. Otherwise, it was a good-structured book. I did like how they started off by showing some real-life stories. It got me thinking of what we were actually dealing with in the system. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
