How to look Good for Less!

When ever you hear the word "Diva" that one thing comes to mind is a female operatic singer or someone who is a prima donna?

The author Michelle Mckinney Hammond redefines its meaning as someone who has a standard of living.

She had a privileged life and was treated like a princess when she was a child. She grew up to be an advertising executive and later become a best selling author who wrote thirty-four books. She did had it all!

But like any other human. diva or not, she also encounters the pitfall of being broke! She was obsessed in keeping up the kind of image she wants to project or wants to maintain which was also also the cause of her downfall.

Actually, you really don't have to be a "diva" to learn something from her. The author's style of writing shows her witty side. You can't helped but smile or be amused by each chapter as she confesses her financial mistakes and how she manage to get her "groove" back so to speak.

There are useful information, tips and links to some websites to educate you on how to be financially responsible at the end of each chapter.

Although don't expect that this is like a Suze Orman kind of book. Some of its contents are still applicable, regardless as to what part of the world you came from. After all, the main point of this book is making the most of what you have and yes.you can still looked good on a budget!

NOTE: I received this book from Tyndale Publishers as part of their books for bloggers program. I am not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing in accordance with the U.S Federal Trade Commission.

    Divanomics

This book intrigued me when I first saw it and I was very excited when it arrived in the mail.

Divanomics is an excellent book to be reading during these difficult financial times. Michelle offers advice, real life experience, and some excellent steps to help you tighten up your budget. I will admit that I had never heard of Michelle McKinney Hammond. This was a great introduction to her writing and I want to read more. I was excited to learn that she is the author of over 30 books.

Michelle's personality draws you in from the very first moment and her spunky style and high energy pulls you along through her book. She speaks through personal experience and shares her heart and her faith throughout. This book was a really enjoyable read and I will admit that there were many times I would sneak off to a corner to read a chapter only to end up reading three or four. There are excellent resources and references to web resources all the way through this book. The author offers some excellent ideas for action and response at the end of each chapter to enable you to put into practice what you are learning.

I don't think it really matters what your current financial situation is, any woman could benefit from reading this book. I highly recommend this book.

Tyndale House Publishers has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book for review purposes. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions expressed are my own.
