    Dive

Some of the reviews I've just read about this album are just plain wrong. I have owned this album since it came out in April 1993 & it is FABULOUS! Sarah's beautiful version of A SALTY DOG by Procol Harum is a gleaming tribute to a truly GREAT SONG. Someone wrote Sarah's version was "over the top". Then go buy yourself a nice safe Perry Como CD. Did you want her to rap it? Yeah, she belts it out, why the heck not? Another thing. This album contains one of pop music's ten best songs ever written, the sexy, steamy ONCE IN A LIFETIME. The price of the album is worth it for that song alone! I would say that DIVE is one of my top ten DESERT ISLAND ALBUMS. Forget those AL Webber lovers; this is Sarah testing her edgy wings and it is glorious!

    A beautiful CD

This is the least popular of her CD's and the most beautiful. I bought it seven years ago and I still treasure it. If you like a kind of mystical new-age music then this is a great CD

    Sarah is amazing!

This CD proves that Sarah can do any type of music. Most of the songs are really good. One of my favorites is "Johnny Wanna Live" because it focuses on animal rights. I also like "Second Element" both part 1 and 2.

    Boring

I love Sarah Brightman...but this CD does not do her voice justice. The music is dull and the lyrics are just a mumble of words with no distictive images. Try "Eden", "La Luna", or any of the ALW collection.

    Dive

After reading the reviews by some other listeners I just have one question? What the hell are you smoking? This is a BRILLIANT album & her aquatic thread is marvelous. Yes, it is a loosely based concept/theme album. Not one person has made mention of one of pop music's greatest, sexiest, most seductive songs ever written, the incomparable ONCE IN A LIFETIME. The whole album is worth that song alone. Procol Harum's A SALTY DOG is brilliant, not over the top. Sarah never goes over the top, she always leaves us wanting more. The mark of a true DIVA!

    Great Melodies

I don't normally pay attention to lyrics, I really like the music. And boy, is the music awesome in this disc (her great voice certainly helps).

    Graceful, but not her best.

So what else is new? Obviously, Sarah attempts alternative here. However, the great backup is weakened by meaningless lyrics and amateur singing on the likes of ¿A Salty Dog.¿ Thus, the entire album has little to show for it. Definitely not an album for those sensitive ones.

Captain Nemo should have said 'No way!'

This album is agonizing to hear. Brightman's beautiful voice and an impressive musical backup are ruined by brain-dead lyrics. Spend your money on 'Eden' or the Webber collection, not this travesty.
