Perfect for rookies and "pros"
I love to throw a party and do a lot of events for our church. This book caught my eye at the library and I had to buy my own copy. She gives you overall information about set ups and planning. She covers the details without becoming boring. My favorite part of the book is the individual event section. She plans out a menu for several different events from Bridal showers to 4th of July picnics. At the beginning of each section she gives ideas for decor, invites, etc. The menu is listed along with each recipe. The icing on the cake is that she breaks down the recipe by quantity. No more refiguring the recipe and shopping list for your own party - you can choose from 12,25, 50, 75 or 100 people. And you have a complete shopping list to follow. This is a book I have gone back to over and over again for ideas, inspiration and recipes. I get rave reviews everytime I make one of the dishes. Was this review helpful? Whether you have one or ten parties a year, this is a great investment. No matter how seasoned you are, I don't believe you ever stop looking for inspiration or new ideas!!
