I must confess when I see a new Stuart Woods book is out, I immediately get it to read, not bothering to see what the story is. I don't know why I keep reading Stone Barrington. I find him too froo froo. He is a rich spoiled lawyer who hangs out with a cop, Dina, who is also rich and spoiled. They are always in the finest restaurants, having cocktails. Stone picks up a beautiful woman. Everything turns out well for them. Then of course is his twenty something son, Peter, who has everything given to him yet is very mature, already is producing a film - took me thirty years but whatever. Under all the pretentiousness there usually is a good story. I like Lance Cabot and Holly Barker. Stuart wastes a lot of dialogue with "good morning...." and the other person replies "good morning" Why not just say they exchanged morning pleasantries.

Not as riveting as his past books...

I felt like something was missing... that something else was going to happen, but didn't.
