    Ha ha

I haven't finished reading it, but so far, it's very bizarre and funny. And if you blokes *ha ha* looked up some of the british slang, you would realize that these are actual words, and it makes the book easier to read. I'm not going to tell you what the words mean because that would take away your opportunity to learn to use a dictionary. This was the dirtiest book ever. It's disgustingly descriptive. I got sick reading it. Yes, the british people are a different sort. But it's also funny. Dino is a loser. I think that if teens read this book (especially those impressionable type with no will or backbone) they will think that they should have sex or they're not cool. But relationships are not all about sex. Ben is not a 'lucky bastard' because he seems trapped in his relationship with his teacher. Awkward.......

One of the most feel good books you'll read

Follow the sexual adventures of three friends Dino, Ben, and Jonathan. A great book, as Dino deals with his parents rocky marriage, a girlfriend who wont sleep with him, and a disturbe girl who will, his friend Ben deals with a secret relationship with his teacher, that turns very disturbing, and Jonathan has to deal with going out with a 'fat' girl. A great book that is honest with teenage relationships, leaves you wondering what happens to these guys, and really should have a sequel, great book, any teenager, especially boys, will enjoy it.

    A Laugh on Every Page

From the beginning of this book until the end, I was laughing out loud. The characters are so entertaining and relatable. Burgass does a wonderful job of flowing from one character's story to the next. You'd think it'd be choppy and hard to follow, but it's completely the opposite. This book shows the male's point of view on sex in a hilarious way. My 21 year old boyfriend and my 58 year old mom both enjoyed this book. Burgass has a very addictive writing style. Definitely pick this book up NOW.

    Good read

What I enjoyed most about this book is that it was from a male point of view, or 3 males points of view. As a female reader it was one of the first YA books I had come across that covered this topic and it wasnt a female narrator.

    Brilliant and Irreverent

When I say "I couldn't put it down," I mean it. I was glued to the couch and read his book from start to finish, and was sorry when it was done. I laughed, I gasped in horror, I bit my nails with worry. Not many novels do that for me.

The book shares the mindset and voice of the incredible British TV show SKINS. So much so that I was convinced Burgess was a co-creator of the series, but this seems not to be. Like SKINS, DOING IT follows the lives of a group of Brit teens as they obsess about themselves and about sex, as they lean on their friends, and muddle through life dealing with some serious issues as well. Parental infidelity. Adult manipulation. Character scarring events. Self esteem. Heartache.

You can't help but be drawn in by the shocking language, and brutally frank thoughts. So honest. So spot on. And, I might add, not at all vicarious. This book isn't one of those stupid shocker tales. It's brilliant and witty. And it shows how teens really are, at least at times.

This is a book to share among friends, so please do! Because of the content, you might not find it on a library shelf or in a classroom, even though it so deserves to be there. Seek this title out, devour it, and enjoy!

    Very Interesting

this story i found to be very interesting because it was more from a male's perspective, though I do have to say that I wasn't as satisfied as I believed I would be with the ending. I thought that there was more room to tell more, but instead of giving a rather more deeper ending, to me it seemed as if it kind of just ended.....but overall it was good and it made me laugh when I needed to and it had its true moments that display events that occur in / throughout our lives today.

    Don't waste your time.

As a teenager, i think it's safe to say the majority of us will pick up this book due to the topic. But i have to say, it was horrible... The writing was awful and lacked professional skills. It was also too blunt. I mean, a little bit of mystery please... There are also gaps when the story goes from point A to C. Basically. don't read this, SO not worth the money, or time.

    Definately Fun

I love this book. I feel like each of the characters has something relatable to them. It even touches on my favorite topic of chubby chasing. It's a quick read and definately worth it.

This book has a lot of sexual stories, but the book is good. It had me laughing all the time. There is a lot of things that kids can relate to. I think this is a great book to read its really funny and interesting.

    Bloody Boring!!

Once you get passed all the British slang you quickly find out that's about the most interesting find in this book. It's a slow paced, hardly worth writing about sex novel.

    Dissapointed

I didn't find this book entertaining tbh, I just found it kinda boring. Stuff happens, but it didn't interest me. Basically I wouldn't recommend this book to a friend. Perhaps I've got the wrong end of the stick, seems like everyone else loved it?! But maybe I am not keen on a guy's point of view for a book, seeing as I am so used to a girls. Either, I was expecting more.

    I love it

This book is wonderful!! It was also turned into a T.V. series called 'Life As We Know It', which is a good show and I think the show gave the story line more justice but the show is not exactly like the book. The acting is great, the story line is awesome and the cast is hott!! For those who like the book or for those thinking of getting it good news it came out on DVD late last year so watch it don't just read it!!

    Awesome

It's true, if you can get over the smutty quotes it is a truly touching book for a more mature high school aged audience. I loved it, and now have a list ten people deep of people who would like to borrow it from me.
