    Not Bad

This was a strangely good read with lots of sexual tension. The story takes place in the future and people are put in either the dominant group or the submissive group. The doms don’t sleep with other doms, only the submissives. Children aren’t born, they are created in a pod, using the best of the genes and are raised (not by parents), until adulthood.

I really liked the sexual chemistry between Dekalia and Marax, who are both doms and aren’t supposed to be attracted to each other. I thought that the author had a really great story and I loved how Marax and Dekalia had to merge minds to help land their space craft and each could see into each other’s minds. It was a real bonding moment and showed each other that they really were human after all. I also really liked that you could pop a pill and see someone else’s memories.

I wished some of these ideas were more fleshed out and further explored because they were really cool. The only problem I had was at the end. Ok, I don’t want to spoil any thing for anyone, and I’ll try, but there is this dream sequence thing happening that I’m still scratching my head over and am not sure what the point was. This was book 8 in the series and I have not read the other books so I’m not sure if reading the prior ones is necessary for full understanding. I enjoyed the book anyway and if you like futuristic stories, then read this book.
