This book is wonderful and completely takes you in. The only way

This book is wonderful and completely takes you in. The only way for me to describe it is Doctor who, meets Star Wars, meets Avatar with the love twists, the alien planet trying to take over and the bonds of friendship that are created. The Thule are dark and mean but not mean enough that they give you nightmares, though I did have a recurring dream that I kept changing into one, then tried to eat my kids but got shot in the head by my hubby before I could get to them. Good thing too, I've been told humans are really high in cholesterol...anyways, Colt McAlister comes off as a normal teenage boy who has been sent to war with another race. He is missing his woman, Lily, has two best friends Oz and Danielle, and runs his own squad 'Phantom Squad'. Being 16 would be something to enjoy for most people, if they weren't half alien (Thule) and working for the military as the military's secret weapon

Domination, The C.H.A.O.S. Trilogy (Book three)
    Jon S. Lewis ©2013
    Thomas Nelson Publishers
    ISBN 978-1-59554-755-2 (Hdbk)
266 pp. plus sketches and reading group guide

For young people who like sci-fi, the plot involves defeating war-mongering aliens who want to destroy all mankind. These aliens can change shapes and masquerade as humans. The heroes continually wonder who can be trusted The aliens have opened a gateway between other planets and earth that must be found and closed..

Sixteen-year old Colt McAlister has been specially designated to understand and fight these aliens. But his ability to know them also makes him susceptible to joining them. With the help of God, he resists as best he can.

Colt is expected to save humanity from these aliens along with his friends. Colt respects his peers, but sometimes those he trusts turn out to be enemies. A surprise twist late in the story complicates the question of trust.

Although book three of this series, enough back-story is included to inform readers about motives and events affecting the characters and plot. Probably to add reality to the story, from time to time, present day items, such as orange sodas, enter the story. The main characters act as fairly normal teenagers when not involved in battles.

The story has action and stress on nearly every page, keeping readers involved and the pace fast. The ending is reminiscent of Lord of the Rings.

Google Jon S. Lewis for a video about the Trilogy.
