Hot and made me care

There are two stories, both about the same amulet. Both have great sex scenes!!!, but good plot and excitement too. I recommend this book if you like erotic historical with some paranormal.

In the first story the amulet is lost from Dominic's home in ElseWorld, which is an austere, lonely temple devoted to the worship of the wine god. He's ElseWorld's most powerful weapon, a demonhand--the author made me care about him. Although he keeps his people safe, they scorn him and are afraid of him. He has a mirror in his hand that captures demons. The elders call him to go through the gate to earth to find Emma, who is to give birth to the next demonhand, though she's unaware of it. She's expecting her husband to bed her this night, but he has been wounded in the war and can no longer have sex with her. So he brings Dominic through the gate for the purpose of helping her to have her child. Her husband has been cruel to her in the past and he deserts her with Dominic, a man she doesn't even know, for an entire night of debauchery. Emma and Dominic bond irrevocably through this Calling ritual and her husband is murdered. The amulet gets lost and the murderer wants Emma's child, thinking it will be a demonhand he can control.

In the second story, the amulet is found, but we don't find out till the end who found it and what it's purpose is. On a Calling night, Vincent conjures a female Shimmerskin, whom he has fallen in love with. She is insentient and incapable of love. At the end of the night, he whispers one word: Stay. She does, which sets off a series of events that bring danger and near death his way.

    Good Erotica!

First of all, Nicholas is still my favorite Satyr but I thought Dominic was awesome. I loved the new story line. Vincent on the other hand... I just felt like this story was written to take up space. The characters were barely developed past the point of knowing their names and nothing really happened. Not my favorite but Dominic made up for it!

    A good read

If you want something new and different and really spicy pick up this series by Elizabeth Amber. You wou't get this from harlequin! Very likable characters, good plt, action and steamy sex. Just the way I like it.

just had to say i love it

two novellas. i LOVED the first story and liked the 2nd. i wish this had been 2 separate books because i'm not a novella fan. both are very erotic with good stories and romance, and the writing is good just like the previous 3 books. great series. historical, italy, with mythology.

    Not impressed

Based on the reviews, I thought I was going to enjoy this book but I feel completely gypped. This book, and the series in general could have been fantastic, but the author doesn't do a very good job at creating her universe or expanding her plot arcs. They all fall flat. Don't get me wrong, she writes a few good erotic scenes but even with those, they at times felt detached or flowery. Ultimately, this book was fluff and very little substance. Very disappointed!

    Dominic- My heart is melting!

I love this Lord of Satyr series of books and "Nicholas" was my very favorite, but I also loved "Dominic"! Dominic (A full Satyr and Chosen one-Demonhand) was such a tortured soul until mating with Emma the night of the Calling. You could feel each emotion that he went through as he mated with her through the Shimmerskin...what a fierce love. I love erotic books and this story was fantastic. Highly recommend reading Dominic. The other story in this book "Vincent" was good, but not all I expected since Vincent is Nicholas' son.
