Alice Shepard needs one thing: a date for her sister's wedding.
Alice Shepard needs one thing: a date for her sister's wedding. And not just any date. A hunk who will make her fiancé rue the day he left her for her best friend. Her drop-dead gorgeous neighbor fits the bill—even if he is a bit quirky and never comes out during the day—and Alice has downed just enough appletinis to ask him. But she makes it quite clear that there will be no funny business.
Spending a week on a cruise ship full of humans while sleeping close to his sexy next-door neighbor sounds like a helluva bad idea to vampire Noah Thorpe. But his friends need time to get him out of a shotgun wedding—a vampire bonding that will tie his fate to a female vampire he's never met. And Alice's offer comes at just the right time.
What could possibly go wrong?
I liked this take on vampire stories, it was not dark and moody, but light and fun. It was original, but also, stayed with some of the vampire mythos. Though this is a paranormal story, but has a very contemporary feel.
Alice, a pretty mortal lives next door to Noah, a handsome 200 yr old vampire. When Alice needs a date to accompany her on a cruise for her sisters wedding; why not ask the sexy Noah? the man she has been lusting over for a while now. Alice has been hurt by her ex-fiancee and ex-best friend, so obviously she is gun shy and takes a chance on asking Noah to go with her. I liked Alice because she was someone you could easily relate too and understand her insecurities. Noah agrees to going with Alice and keeping up this farce because he has his own troubles he needs to hide out from. Noah, seems aloof and standoffish at first, partly because he really does want Alice. Once he is on the cruise he becomes more more at ease and even territorial where Alice is concerned. There time on cruise finds them growing closer and the when they finally come together the scenes steamy and sexy. Of course, there has to be a miss-understanding and a making up and Ms. Allee does a good job of making it believable and hoping for our characters work out their differences.
I loved the supporting characters, they really add to the fun of the story. I think Alice's Mom should have her own story, I think there is a great back story to be told and she is a fun/interesting character. Then there is mention of Alice's brother who was left at the alter by his vampire finance; maybe setting up another book? From the title I would assume that Noah's two brothers will be having books come out about them and cannot wait to read them!

Fun, contemporary PNR. Alice needs a date to take to her sister
Fun, contemporary PNR. Alice needs a date to take to her sisters wedding as her ex is the best man. Her next door neighbor is single and a hunk and more importantly he needs to get out of town for a couple of days so it’s a win win for both. What they didn’t expect was exactly how much of a win it could be for them both.
This is a fun don’t take yourself so serious romp. Fans of Candace Havens Take It Like A Vamp will enjoy Don't Bite the Bridesmaid . Can’t wait for Charles and Alex to find their sunshine.

I used to read Paranormal Romance all the time, but then it seem
I used to read Paranormal Romance all the time, but then it seemed like they were all the same and omg, they were ALL ABOUT VAMPIRES. All of them. So I stepped away, only reading one from time to time when I needed a break from my usual genres.
And to be perfectly honest, this was why I picked up Don't Bite the Bridesmaid last week. Because I felt like I needed a palate cleanser from all the YA and New Adult I had been reading.
What a surprise! It was refreshing to read a PNR that was funny and sweet and light and all kinds of romantical and has all the key elements (ahem) of why we read romance books to begin with. But it wasn't over the top with the stereotypical all knowing vampire and doormat heroine (cough Bella Swan cough).
Neighbors for years but barely even acquaintances, Alice and Noah's lives collide when desperate circumstances require that they spend a week together on a cruise ship. The situation isn't ideal for either of them, but there's that whole saying about life and lemons and lemonade.
Alice is easy to like -- sure she has her flaws, but who doesn't. Especially when they've been burned before. And her family cracked me up.
Noah is a bit broody, but I would be too if I being forced into an arranged marriage. Yet he manages to set it aside to help Alice out when she needs him. And he doesn't sparkle!
As the week progresses and walls come down, acquaintances become friends become more. Knowing the cruise is a week long allows the pacing of their relationship to seem realistic and the ending will leave you with a smile on your face -- complete enough to read as a stand alone, but with enough openings to allow for potential future books.
Tiffany Allee has written a story that entertained me from beginning to end. I would recommend this one to anybody looking to add to their summer reading list -- and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she writes more about this cast of characters.

I will admit that I’m new to the world of paranormal romance. When this book first came out it got my attention because of the cover. But I didn’t pick it up then. In fact, I was against reading anything paranormal. I was convinced to read another paranormal romance and loved it. Then this book was suggested to me. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about vampires. I mean let’s face it, I don’t find being bitten and dying to be a turn on. But I checked out the sample and had to get this book.
To say I didn’t know what to expect reading this book was an understatement. Alice and Noah have liked and noticed each other from afar for years. They’re next door neighbors who pretty much only interact with each other when Alice initiates it, i.e. borrowing sugar or stopping by for something neighborhood related.
The story starts out with Alice getting tipsy in order to ask Noah to be her guest and fake boyfriend for a week. Her sister is marrying her ex’s brother and he and her former best friend are still a couple and will be at the week long cruise ship wedding. Alice’s first attempt at asking doesn’t go so well. But her second attempt is successful. Mostly because Noah has to get out of town in order to avoid getting bonded. Noah has been around for centuries. He’s a pretty square guy. It doesn’t seem like he does anything for fun. In his world, the vampire world, there comes a point in time when you have to be bonded with a younger vampire. The bonding is like a marriage, only you don’t actually have to live together. Your life becomes bonded to theirs. If one dies, so does the other.
I love the way Noah is so protective of Alice, when it comes to her ex. I also loved the way Alice and Noah tried to fight their attraction to each other. The chemistry between these two is explosive. It’s clear that they will do anything to be with each other.
If there is anything negative about the book, I would say I would love to have seen more of them and their life in an epilogue or something. But I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Don't Bite the Bridesmaid is a fun and cute read...
I absolutely love this book, it's definitely different from any other vampire books that I've read so far. Tiffany Allee does a very good job describing the characters and the setting. It all evolves around Alice Shepard, whose sister is getting married and needs a date to accompany her for a week on a cruise ship with her family. But what she doesn't know is that her mysterious/hot neighbor is a vampire and needs a quick getaway. Noah Thorpe was immediately enchanted by his neighbor, Alice, and her proposition couldn't have come at a better time. He needs to leave before the others find him and force him to marry someone that he doesn't like or love.
A week at a cruise full of humans wasn't his best pick, but Alice didn't give him a choice and that's how the two of them embarked into an adventure, full of fun and secrets. As the two of them start to get closer, it also get harder for Noah to keep his identity a secret if Alice keeps tempting him. The story line started great from the very beginning, I loved how the two of them interacted with each other. Alice is shy, but she knows how to hold herself when surrounded by things that she doesn't like. On the other hand, Noah is the gorgeous vampire that has been through a lot of events in his life that have made him reserved and serious. Putting these two different characters together made the whole story a lot more enjoyable to read. Overall, the story flowed beautifully and the ending was great. There were a few parts that felt too rushed for me, but the ending made everything better. I would have liked to see an epilogue the story though. I would recommend anyone to try this book, it's fun and romantic.

I thought this was a sweet read, it actually felt like watching a romantic comedy, very chick flicky. I have to say that Alice and Noah, are better than me, because if I was stuck on a cruise ship with my ex who cheated on me with my best friend, I'd be oh so spiteful, lol. What would you do if you were in the same situation? Would you be good or bad? lol
Naoh and Alice both need each other's help, she to use him as a stand in boyfriend on her sister's wedding cruise, and he to get away from his pre-arranged bonding with a stranger while his blood brother Charles figures out a way to stop it.
Noah tries to resist Alice at every turn, but he's really been pining after her since he first laid eyes on her. But the fact that they are too different and what she might think of him holds him back. Meanwhile Alice feels the same way, she's attracted to him but insecurities from her past relationship are stopping her from initiating anything with him. But once they get together, sparks fly and they can't get enough of each other. And all I have to say is bathroom & kitchen scenes, seeeeeeexy! I will never think of lasagna the same way, lol.
I enjoyed Don't Bite the Bridesmaid, it was a great introduction to the series and am looking forward to the next one, I'm hoping Charles has a starring role in it ;)

I'm a big fan of the Entangled titles, but I don't often read many of their paranormal. When I heard about this one, it sounded really good, so I decided why not. I'm glad that I did. It was just what I was looking for at the time. A fun, sexy romance with a bit of paranormal flare! Nothing too serious, no major drama, just a few inconveniences along the way, and a lot of flirty fun!!
Alice is kind of an odd character. She comes across as a little flighty, but she was actually a woman who was just protecting her fragile heart after her scumbag ex cheated on her. She has no desire to let anyone else in, and she is having a hard time letting go of the past. When she has to go to her sisters wedding, (she happens to be marrying said cheating ex's brother) she needs to bring someone sexy to show her ex she's over him. He is bringing the woman who he cheated with and Alice refuses to show up dateless and look like she hasn't moved on. I really liked how she was finally able to see what a jerk he really was by the end of things, but I also thought that it took her a little too long, and that she should have been a little more forthcoming about things with Noah.
Noah is Mr. Sexy Vampire. He was of course a bit of a jerk as seems to be some sort of rule for books like this, but underneath he wasn't so bad. He has his own issues going on, and as much as he doesn't want to agree to go on the wedding cruise, it works out in his favor so he reluctantly agrees. Now he was a character who I really liked. He held back information for obvious reasons, but as he realizes he's falling for Alice, the more he wants to tell her, and open up. What started out as a good escape for him ends up being much more. Yes, he makes a few minor mistakes, but his are pretty understandable considering he is a vampire and that's not just something you toss around in normal conversation. Overall I thought he was really great!!
The romance was that slow, tension filled kind. I loved that they were both extremely attracted to each other, but refuse to give in. They have great chemistry, and a hell of a lot of sexual tension, so you know when they finally let things happen it's going to be sizzling and explosive!! I love the slow build up!! The best thing is, it didn't start on the cruise. They had both been noticing each other for a while, but kept to themselves mostly. They kind of watch each other from next door to each other and it's fun to learn about simple little things.
This was a really quick and entertaining read with minimal drama. Yes, there were a few things, but nothing that it too eye roll worthy or anything. The setting of course being on a cruise ship makes things even more fun. I mean, sexy vampire on a cruise... where there is lots of sun? How does that work right? Well, I can tell you it's done really great and I really enjoyed this. No, there isn't much actual substance to the book, but I think that's the point. It's just a sexy paranormal romance that is a great fast read!!

This is a book that vampire fans MUST read! It is just pure fun from beginning to end. I loved the story line and the characters and just everything about it really. It is the perfect book to read when you want something lighthearted, fun, and quick. It is the perfect book to devour. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. The story line in this one is perfect for any pararomance fan. It is light and cute and has a bit of a twist I didn’t really expect, but also really loved. It’s a super quick read and one that you can easily finish in a few hours. One of my favorite things about this book is the way it opens up. It opens up and throws you into the story immediately. You enter the story as Alice is marching over to Noah’s to invite him to the wedding. I loved getting right into the action and seeing the attraction between the characters right away.
Speaking of the characters, both Noah and Alice were genuinely likable and easy to connect with. Alice is in the tough situation where she has to go to her sister’s wedding and spend time with her cheating ex fiancé. So naturally the solution is to show up with her incredibly delicious neighbor, Noah, and show her ex that he didn’t break her. However she gets a lot more from Noah than she ever imagined possible. Just so happens that Noah needed to get away when this offer came along. Noah is a character that you will swoon over. He is dominating and sexy and exactly what I want in a pararomance hero.
The only complaint I have is that I wish there was more to the story! I would have loved just one more chapter to close out the story a bit more. Then again I am greedy and didn’t want to let the characters go.
All in all, this is a book that pararomance junkies need to pick up. It is cute and fun and has some great schmexy scenes. The attraction between Noah and Alice leaps off the pages and you will not want to put this one down.

3.5 What did I think: This was a cute, lighthearted story. I loved Alice and I loved Noah. Alice to too funny how she admits that she needs to drink a few appletinis to get enough courage to ask her hot next door neighbor to go to her sister’s wedding. I liked the flirtation. Plus there was enough of a story to keep the reader interested. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
Alice has had a bad experience with an ex-boyfriend who lied to her who also happens to be on this cruise ship wedding with his girlfriend who also happens to be her ex-best friend.
Did I feel connected to the characters? Yes. They were developed. You get both characters’ POVs so you know what the other is thinking.
Pace of story: Good
Positives: Just a feel good, cute love story. I loved that the secret of Noah being a vampire did not happen at the end of the story. Also, I love stories where the vampire falls in love with a regular human girl.
Negatives: In some of the scenes, the characters acted a little immature. Noah is supposed to be a mature vampire even though he does not look a day over 30 and Alice is supposed to be in her mid-twenties. Yet certain scenes, I felt like I was reading a YA with their misunderstandings.
Do I recommend? It was sweet, feel good book. I needed a book like this after a read a very dark read so it was perfect for the mood I was in.

Normally I don't read paranormal books. The only exception is RL
Normally I don't read paranormal books. The only exception is RL Mathewson's Pyte/Sentinel series and that was solely because I liked the author. With that being said I was more than pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Somehow although the book was about a vampire it didn't seem too paranormal for someone like me. (If that makes any sense)Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
The story centers around maid of honor Alice who's not looking forward to her sisters cruise ship wedding since her cheating ex, also the grooms brother, will be in attendance. She wants to show she's over him but doesn't have a date in sight.
Then there's Noah, her neighbor, that she's had a crush on forever, who needs to get out of town quick. A cruise sounds like the perfect escape, but could two people who hardly know one another survive a week in close quarters?
I really enjoyed the authors writing style and her sense of humor. I like how even though the story had a paranormal aspect it wasn't the cliched one that's been overdone. She did her own way and to me made the focus more about the characters learning about themselves and each other and the relationships between them. She also left it open to become a series. I'd love to read about Alice's brother Andrew. I'm definitely glad I ignored my usual book prejudices and read this.
