MEDIUM SERIES-ALLISON DUBOIS-

This book is for everyone, even the skeptic. This book validated my sensitivity to the other side's energy. My children also feel the energy. My grief is more managable from what I have read.

Though the television series based on the life of Allison DuBois is one of my favorite t.v. shows, I was very disappointed in this book. I found it overly repetitive and lacking in any kind of engaging content. Basically, it was just plain boring. She may well be gifted...but not at writing. Even the editing was weak as "typos" were plentiful, making this book even more of a struggle to finish. I've never been one ditch a book before I've finished it, so I was actually relieved when this one turned out to be less than 200 pages. Save your money and stick to the t.v. show.

    Ok

This book was ok. I believe there are much better books written by mediums out there. The type was very big and spaced and it seemed to me as though they were trying to drag it out, so they didn't have a 50 page book.

    Do you believe?

You can tell by the writing style Ms. DuBois wrote this herself without intervention from a professional writer which makes it all the more real and convincing. I enjoyed reading about her experiences and explanations of why life ends early for some and not for others. And they are out there, no matter what your belief system this is hard to ignore.

    Do you believe?

The book was a little lightweight. I expected there to be more written about her psychic abilities than there was. She explains how to enhance your gift or your child's gift if you are lucky to have the power. For the most part, the book was about the fact that not all psychics are charlatans. Many psychics are good people wanting to help others and not bilk them out of money. I believe this was the real motive behind the book.

This book is both very sad and very inspirational. The author, Allison DuBois, is the woman whose life formed the inspiration for the TV show Medium
. This book explains how she came to realize her talent and how she came to use it for good. It contains several actual cases and readings she has worked on and is finished by a chapter about what it is like to live with a medium, written by her husband Joe.

This is an excellent book that is an easy read, and it will have you run the full gamut of your emotions before you are through. Well worth picking up.

    Medium Light

DON¿T KISS THEM GOOD-BYE by Allison Dubois is half autobiography and half advice book. The author¿s experiences are highly interesting. Her advice on an extraordinary subject is very low key. Personally, I read it for the book for the same reason I watched the television show; I like a good story well told. It sounds like Dubois will continue her work with law enforcement and missing children. I hope so. I hope she doesn¿t turn into one of those mediums/spiritualists/gurus who write an advice book every 6 months. The book is very thin at 193 pages. It¿s an easy read. Depending on your attitude towards the paranormal, it shouldn¿t tax the brain too much. ¿ Leslie Strang Akers
