A nice book with adaptations for quantity already figured out for you!

I liked this cookbook, so I bought it and then I also bought the Nook version so that I could have it with me in the grocery store. That way if a product was on sale I could search for recipes using that item and know how much to stock up on and to see what other ingredients were needed for the recipe without having to make another trip to the store. It was all in the Nook and made so much handier with the search function. I like that it has the standard "feeds 4-6" recipe and then has the recipe ingredients tripled, then x6, then x9 for a lot of the recipes. Sometimes they are only doubled and sometimes they are not increased at all. It explains why, also. Like some recipes would just be too hard to mix properly if they were doubled. The recipes are not weird with obscure ingredients. They are things that my family like to eat. I have a husband and two small children. so far, every dish has been a winner with us all. Now, as a response to the person who gave the book a negative review because it felt like a rip-off since it was lacking pictures of the recipes and it was just like getting a PDF...The physical cookbook DOES NOT have pictures. It is exactly the same. There is nothing lacking between the two. I just wanted to make it clear to people reading the review that the Nook version is not a cheap picture-less rendition of the cookbook. The only quibble that I had with the purchase is that the page numbers between the Nook version and the physical version don't match up. Overall, recommended as a cookbook to use to fill up a freezer.

Not a good purchase for the Nook

The recipies are okay, but there are no pictures. Pictures help you see the final product. This book would be better in the traditional paper format. I feel ripped off because with no pictures it is basically like a PDF file.
