Double the Pleasure by Lori Foster, Deirdre Martin, Jacquie D'Alessandro & Penny McCall
"Double the Pleasure" is a new four author anthology put out under the 'Berkley Sensation' line. The stories were all quick reads and mostly medium heat.
"Deuces Wild" by Lori Foster is a brand new novella about a pair of Winston cousins. When Dex's twin Hart decides to try and qualify to become an SBC fighter, he doesn't want the rest of the family to know about it so he asks Dex to 'stand in' for him for a few weeks since even their closest relatives can't tell them apart. Although Dex isn't thrilled, Hart talks him into it. And wouldn't you know it, Dex quickly falls under the spell of Hart's next door neighbor. But how can he really 'court' her when she thinks he's Hart? And why didn't Hart warn him about how sexy his neighbor is? ***Warning: Hot Winstons alert!
"The Luck of the Irish" is Deirdre Martin's contribution about a woman burned by love who becomes involved with a true Irishman from the Auld Sod. But will this Irishman leave her too? ***no sports in this one!
Jacquie D'Alessandro's "Your Room or Mine?" is a humorous and sexy story about mistaken first impressions...and what happens when temporary co-workers drop their shields. ***Smoking tension from D'Alessandro.
"Double the Danger" - It was bad enough for Abby to find her long lost grandfather had been in the witness protection program for all those years, but when his cover is blown and the FBI agent who turns up is the one man she could never forget, how will she ever pull herself together again? ***The more I read Penny McCall, the more I enjoy her stuff. Chilling suspense and hot sex!!

Love those Winston boys
First impressions are important but they also can be wrong. The characters of all four of these short-stories learn that lesson. But as in all good love-stories in the end everything works out for the best. Plus, I love the Winston boys and I can't wait to read Hart Winston's love story.

Thank you Ladies!!!!
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the women who wrote these wonderful stories. I had been a bit depressed and hadn't read a book in awhile. I received this as a gift and started reading it, more out of duty then an anticipation of enjoyment. Let me say I was hooked from the first page. All of the stories were well written, with characters that were very beleiveable. I was tempted to change my name to Christie and become a blond.

I don't like giving away plots or storylines but, I will say that this book will not disappoint you. It delivers. It's fun, romantic, quirky and just plain enjoyable. My only complaint is that they were not long enough. Let's just say that I hope there are some fuller stories coming out of some of the secondary characters hint;hint; you know who I mean Ladies;-)
Two of the authors I am familiar with the others are new to me but I look forward to reading more from them. -

¿The Luck of the Irish¿ by Deirdre Martin. In Hell¿s Kitchen, divorcee Maggie O¿Brien and Irish Green Card immigrant Brendan Kelly meet when he assist his Uncle Joe in renovating her family¿s Wild Hart Pub. They are attracted to one another, but she is reluctant to act after a bad marriage.
---
¿Your Room or Mine?¿ by Jacquie D¿Alessandro. Java Heaven CEO Gavin Laine informs his CFO Jack Warden that the accountants will attend a team building weekend at Lake Lanier¿s Casa di Lago hosted by consultant Madeline ¿Mad Dog¿ Price. Jack and Madeline detest their attraction to one another; each expects fireworks at the Georgia resort, but neither is prepared for what occurs between them nor the betrayal.
---
¿Double the Danger: by Penny McCall. Dr. Abigail West moved to Pottersville, under 200 miles from Chicago, from DC to be near her only living relative, her grandfather, but remains an outsider to the ¿Pottersvillains¿. When she opens up a body bag to conduct an autopsy her college lover Drake, who vanished abruptly ten years ago without a trace, steps out alive. He explains he is FBI and they along with her grandfather are in danger. She assumes it is her heart from him
---
These are four fun well written contemporary romances that contain reasonably deep lead characters. Although the Penny McCall entry feels out of place with its police procedural suspense plot, fans will appreciate the strong quartet of tales with the bonus of Winston twins starring in Lori Foster¿s fine contribution.
