    JERR GOLD STAR AWARD

Mary Fallon, a legal secretary from Boston, gets the opportunity to visit the mystical and exotic land of the pharaoh¿s; she doesn¿t hesitate to go to Egypt to pay her best friend, Caroline, a visit. Being able to view the Old Kingdom tomb paintings is a dream come true. Meeting Caroline¿s dream boss, Egyptologist Simon Taylor, is only a bonus. But nightly a powerfully erotic Priest of Anubis enters Mary¿s dreams. Then one night, in the heart of the Cairo bazaar, she meets the devastatingly sexy and wealthy Sir Richard Ashley who believes he¿s lived before and he and Mary belong together. Torn between these two desirable men, Mary must decide her fate¿will her head or her heart rule? Dreams of Anubis is an amalgam of true romance and erotic fiction where Mary realizes her true sensuality, spirituality and metaphysical being through her one true love. This is a compellingly erotic tale unveiled in one of the world¿s most romantic and mystical lands. Maria Isabel Pita knows how to give her readers the most vivid imagery, subtly of words and well developed characters that come alive from the pages of her book. Mary¿s sexual encounters with the sexy and mysterious Englishman, Sir Richard Ashley, will have you reaching for an ice pack or your significant other. Mary and Richard are kindred souls rediscovering each other; their love has stood the test of time. There is a charm and lushness to this book that evokes many feelings. Ms. Pita paints a rich tapestry of words that light up the imagination and brings her characters to life. All of them, from Mary, Richard, Simon, Carol, Steve, to even the servants, are given a breath of fresh air and simply come alive before your eyes. In the Dream Of Anubis Ms. Pita brings together both a sensually historic plot and a contemporary Egypt that arouses the readers senses while it also offers a very satisfying read and a thoroughly intriguing, spine-tingling and beautifully sensual erotic book. This book deserves a Gold Star for many reasons. Maria Isabel Pita has an elegant style of writing that pulls at your senses and allows you to live the moment through her characters. The language flows beautifully, the characters are well drawn, the plot is exciting and is always fresh and riveting, and the setting is romantic. This is the second of Ms. Pita¿s books that I¿ve read and I am even more impressed with this second installment of hers. I highly recommend Dreams of Anubis for anyone with a love of erotic romance with a touch of magic and mysticism. It is a true keeper. Review by Aggie Tsirikas
