Enjoyable contemporary romance

Over Fourteen years ago, Brent Zartlich fled his hometown of Beason¿s Ferry, Texas where he was considered unacceptable trash. Over the subsequent years, Brent became a successful TV news anchor, and is now currently working in Houston. Only a request from his old school friend Laura Beth Morgan could ever get him to return home.
Brent agrees to participate in the dating game fund-raiser at the town¿s annual Bluebonnet Homes Tour. His only stipulation is that Laura Beth be one of the three female candidates. At the event, Brent easily identifies Laura Beth as the wholesome contestant among the three women ¿dying¿ for a date with him. He selects her, but is shocked when a beautiful woman comes from behind the barrier separating them. She looks nothing like the squirt that was like a little sister to him. As Laura Beth and Brent get to know each other as adults, he falls in love with her, an emotion she always felt for him. However, she symbolizes picket fence living, which does not fit into his career plans.
DRIVE ME WILD is a warm contemporary romance that sub-genre fans will enjoy. The lead couple is a wonderful duo, especially Brent with his struggle between needing love and wanting to succeed in his chosen profession. The support cast provides a glimpse into life in a small Texas town. The romance between two secondary characters, who happen to be delightful opposites, makes for a more complete tale as readers will fully enjoy Julie Ortolon¿s ability to blend that sub-plot into the wonderful prime story line.
Harriet Klausner

Drive me Wild... again, and again

This was my first romance book that wasn't a young adult. I read this about 8 years ago, and still it's one of my most favorite books to read. I love the hotness between Laura and Brent, you can tell that there is a connection is there you just want to see those fireworks and make it happen! I loved the drive through the corn field, and especially the big dinner at the restaurant when Laura and Brent aburptly leave. It's of course a love story, and has some sexual scenes, but they are so spicy you wouldn't think it it as smut. This book sits on my bookshelf all year long, and I love reading it over and over! GREAT book!

One of the best books I've read so far. The characters and great and the storyline is as funny as it is enjoyable. A keeper, for sure. Don't throw it away!

    Drive Me Wild.........Did!

What I enjoyed most about this book was the fact that it wasn't filled with 'superfluous filler.' The story moved very quickly; the secondary characters were as interesting as the primary characters. Can't everyone fantasize about a crush that didn't end the way it should have? And now the second chance!!
