A Delightful Memoir of Life in Rural Spain
I read this book for my book club, and every single one of us loved it. Chris Stewart has very dry, subtle British humor, which is right up my alley. His stories are filled with oddball characters, some of whom you instantly love, some of whom you cannot stand. You'll be left applauding his--and his wife's--ability to move from England to rural Andalucia in Spain, to a house that is practically falling apart, with no plumbing, no heat, no electricity, and definitely no a/c for those brutally hot summer days. But they approach everything with a good sense of humor and adventure and make the best of it.

Six months after having read Driving Over Lemons, I am still delighted and enriched by the book. What fun it was to travel to Spain and live through the author's experiences by discovering this jewel. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
