In 1802 England, his father forced Cam to marry his childhood friend Gina when both were still ¿children¿. Rather than consummate the marriage with the woman he thought up to the ceremony was his first cousin, Cam Serrard fled through the window fifteen minutes after saying ¿I do¿. He went to the continent and remained overseas for the next dozen years. Gina asks her spouse to annul their vows so she can marry someone else. Her husband in name only, the Duke of Girard, comes home to annul his marriage so Gina can move on with her life. His plan is to return immediately to his studio in Greece. However, when Cam meets his wife as an adult for the first time, her beauty, charm, and grace stun him. Shockingly, he finds himself falling in love with Gina just as she too surprises herself by being a DUCHESS IN LOVE with her husband when she thought her heart belonged to Sebastian. Though the basic theme has been used too often in Regency novels, fans of the sub-genre will enjoy Eloisa James¿ latest tale, DUCHESS IN LOVE. The key to the delightful read is the cast from the strong bewildered lead couple to secondary characters who cause havoc on the married couple¿s relationship and enable the audience to understand the motives of the Duke and Duchess. The audience will kick back their shoes, relax, and bask in the fun of this well written historical romance. Harriet Klausner

Very Disappointing

I could not even read the entire book. It was very slow and too many characters to keep track of. I skipped to the end of the book just to see how it ended. Not worth buying.

    A favorite

I adored the characters and loved the mixed storyline. I felt like I was reading a movie script and I really enjoyed revisiting the characters in the books to follow. You will giggle and you will sigh with this one, y'all.

    Fun Characters

It's not perfect but it comes close enough. Cam is just such a great character and the relationship he and Gina have to begin with is just plain cute. The situations have that touch of being more than a little ridculous so that it was hard to keep from smiling throughout it.

    VERY ROMANTIC!!!

Set in England, in the early 1800's. Not as good as her other pleasure book series but still good. I, too like how the author added other romances to Gina & Cam's story. I enjoyed it, you will too.

    Fabulous, romantic read

Having already read Fool for Love by Eloisa James and enjoying it, I decided to try this one. I loved it!! It had everything...love, temptation, laughter, frienship, and sex. The characters are well written and very enjoyable, and everyone gets a little piece of the spotlight. This is one for the keeper shelf.

I ADORE -ADORE-ADORE DUCHESS IN LOVE!

I read a lot of romances, and I tend to forget the stories after a while because they are easy to forget. But I will never forget Gina and Cam because this is one of the greatest romances I ever read - sexy and funny and really romantic. A Keeper!
