Funny, but politically loaded in parts.

The stories were interesting and enjoyable. Most are based upon facts, but some of the vinettes are slight to moderate variations on the truth or original event and also verifiable. The political section is totally slated to taget mistatements from conservatives or republicans,so just be aware of the bias before you start that section. No balance is even hinted at. Otherwise the book was ok and a fun read.

    I Also Recommend:

DUH! A great source of anecdotes for almost any area of life.

As a Business Consultant as well as Officer in Rotary, there is always a need for anecdotal material. DUH! provides a plethora of statements, situations, and stories not generally well known and which are sure to raise the question: "Was that for real?".

Of course I have to take Fenster at his word. I did not do a Snopes on any of this. Regardless, it is a fun read that can be consumed in bite-sized sessions. Enjoy!

    A good laugh...

This book is great to read when your killing time and don't want to think...it's funny and actually a little interesting. I just wonder how much of it is true.

Barely better than reading the toilet paper roll

Quite a supercilious look on how horrible the rest of us our . . . try Paul Harvey for a optimistic (versus cynical) view of history.
