Poirot receives a letter from an old, well off lady who says that someone is trying to kill her.One attempt has as already been made but it fails. The suspects are members of her family who all needed money but the only witness to this crime is the old lady's dog Bob.He ,of course, can not speak but can he in his own way show Poirot the killer?
