I so enjoyed the first book in the Haunted Yarn Shop Series that

I so enjoyed the first book in the Haunted Yarn Shop Series that I could not wait to read this one. It certainly did not let me down, I enjoyed Dyeing Wishes just as much as I enjoyed Last Wool and Testament. Molly MacRae has created a town full of characters that charming, witty, intriguing and up for solving a good mystery.

This mystery hits a little too close to home for the TGIF group though. I don't want to give too much away so I am just going to say that two members of the group are directly affected by the mystery behind the two bodies found in the sheep field. The group sets out to find out what really happened and finds themselves in some sticky situations.

I completely adore Kath, this woman has a way of finding herself right in the middle of things. She's usually pretty good at getting herself untangled from whatever mess she has wound up in. I have to admit that I am totally entertained by her interactions with her ghost friend Geneva. Geneva can be a total pain in Kath's rear but she's also hilarious and full of mystery.  I found this element of the story to be a lot of fun to read. Geneva can be in places that Kath can not. Who has not wished they could have a source in a room that can not be seen? I know there are times when I would love to have my own Geneva.

On the whole this story kept me completely absorbed from the first page until the last. There is plenty of mystery, laughter, and twist and turns that kept me flipping pages quickly. I could not wait to see what was possibly going to happen next.

I had a wonderful time during my second visit to Blue Plum and I can not wait for the next book in this series to visit again. Molly MacRae has a wonderful ability to tell one very interesting mystery. I know I will certainly be reading more of her books and impatiently be awaiting the release of the next Haunted Yarn Shop Mystery.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for sharing my thoughts with you, as always it is my pleasure to share with you yet another fabulous book I have had a chance to read.

Thank you, Molly MacRae, for another enjoyable visit to Blue Plum!  I'm not quite sure I believe in ghosts, but I do believe in Kath Rutledge's new best friend, Geneva, who just happens to be a ghost.  Is it because Kath believes in her or because MacRae weaves such an engaging story combining characters I like, a mystery I couldn't quite solve on my own, and intelligent writing with a strong dose of humor?  Who knows, but I am definitely looking forward to my next trip to Blue Plum when Spinning in Her Grave comes out in the spring of 2014.

    Dyeing Wishes is a treat!

DYEING WISHES is a great addition to this entertaining series. Kath and members of the TGIF group set off to learn about dyeing, and find two bodies instead. With help from her posse, and ghost Edwina, Kath sets to work to solve the crime. She also has time with her friend Joe, and also tries to name her store's cat. Entertaining sleuths, and plot. Check it out!

    Good book

I have the first book in the series and have not read it yet. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, so will go back and read the first. My father read it first and said we need to keep getting this series. He was/is right; and we will.

Dyeing Wishes is the second book in the A Haunted Yarn Shop Myst

Dyeing Wishes is the second book in the A Haunted Yarn Shop Mystery series.

Kath and a couple members of TGIF group from the yarn store are at Debbie's farm to learn about dyeing wool, first they want to visit the sheep and their lambs. But, first, they find two dead bodies, in what appears to be a murder suicide. Most everyone Kath talks with is doubtful of the Deputy "Clod" Dunbar feeling that it was a murder/suicide. One of the deceased, Will, had been accused of killing someone at the local paper plant and had fled to woods and hadn't been seen since. The other victim was his girlfriend and the daughter one of the TGIF members.

Kath and her posse from TGIF start there own investigation to what happened out at the field. Of course Geneva, Kath friendly ghost is there to help. At times Kath may wonder if Geneva is really helping. Geneva is a real character and it is always fun to have her "show" up. Geneva still loves to watch TV, but has now become a reader...if Kath is around to change books for her.

Kath has learned a little her grandmothers secret dyes and might even be having a romantic interest starting.

Awaiting the next book to see what will happen in Blue Plum next.
