The Dying Breath by my point of view

This is a wonderful book! I love the whole series! It is so interesting! I hope Alane writes more books! I give it two big thumbs up! The book is edgy, has character and is one of the best books ever! I recommend it to everyone! This book may not be suitable for younger children because
    1. Some parts are a little gruesome
    2. May be challenging
If you decide to read this book, start off with the other books in the series. If you cant get ahold of them, don't worry I think alane does an awesome job of re-capping what went on in the other three books. They are titled
    -The Christopher Killer
    -The Angel of Death
    -The circle of Blood
I reccomend all of them because they are just great! Alane does such a great job that I find myself feeling like Cammie herself!
The books are about a girl named Cammie who goes into forensics with her father. In the first book tradgedy strikes close to Cammie. She must hold on to her emotions and find out who the killer is and where he/she is before they find her!
The second book is about Cammie falling in love. Will it be with mystery man Kyle or Justin?? This book leaves you wanting more!
The third book is about Cammie struggling to make hard choices. some unwanted guests come to greet Cammie and she is confused in what to do. This book will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat and wanting more!
The fourth book is about Cammie trying to gather herself up and ends up falling in love. Again. Will it be with Kyle or Justin? Or maybe even someone new! Great book in my opinion!
You should read this series if you like shows like CSI, NCIS, Mentalist, Numbers, The Forgotten or anything like that! I know i sure enjoy reading these books as well do my friends who I pass the series onto! If you chose to read this book, Please pass it onto your friends and hopefully you and your friends will enjoy it as much as I do! Thanks agian Alane for writing such pleasurable, interesting books that have left me witha new interest for forensics!!
    ?-Your biggest fan ever!!?
    You know who!

    Best Book Series Ever!

    Dear Everyone,
This is the best book series I have ever read! It's amazing that I love a book so much like this because, I'm studying to become a emergency animal vet, and I never, ever, read Fiction. To me most of all the fiction books, are most of the the most boring things in this world, and I always had trouble reading them. I love to be advance, and read the adult non-fiction books. I get bored very fast while reading most of those fiction books in the library, and my teacher wanted me to read fiction books for my level. I was handed the christopher killer, and it was mandatory for me to read it and I did read it; unlike all the other books I have been forced to read I LOVED this series. I never have felt this much joy reading fiction books, and before I knew it I read the book twenty four seven. I read it in the car, before bed, with my friends, when my teacher was grading papers and tells us to do something, and many more places. This books keeps you interested with every turn of a page, and even my friends loved it when i showed it to them. Suddenly my friends were reading it faster then I was. What I like about the books is the twist and the turns. You never guess what was going to happen next, and it keeps you on your toes. Ever time when I left my book somewhere or couldn't find it, I just thought about my book and that I missed it. My friends waved there book in my face teasing me that they have the same book but they have it; my friends never meant anything to be hurtful it was just for fun. The books are great for people that like thrillers, and I recommend this book one hundred precent! It might be a little to much for young children. I would say that ten would be the youngest and to explain things they might not know. Its a great book to reread so, thats always a good plus. The worst thing about the book series is that you read them to fast and there is not enough books to the series. But you always wish for more of those books to come! When the next book comes out I'll be in line to buy it with my friends.
I hope you enjoy the book,

I loved this book, and coming from someone who feels awkward in

I loved this book, and coming from someone who feels awkward in the fiction section of her library that is saying something. I am persueing a career in forensics and this really intrigues me more about it. Other books in the series are just as amazing as this one. I wouuls recommend that they are to read first because it would not make sense without them. The next book in the series The dead giveaway is being eagerly anticipated by me.

    Review for Rachel's Book Reviews

    Forensic Mystery
    By Alan Ferguson
Being a coroner's assistant means that Cameryn has seen more gore than your average seventeen-year-old. But even Cammie is shocked when Kyle O'Neil, the most popular guy in school, discovers the gruesome corpse of their English teacher murdered in his own bed. As Cammie gets involved in the case, she finds herself drawn to Kyle, and considers trusting him with the secret that she can't even tell her father. But when their relationship starts to move toward romance, the struggle to solve the case of her teacher's death intensifies. Will Cameryn be too preoccupied to identify the killer in time?
This series is one of the most fantastic books I've ever read. The are fantastic mysteries, they seem average at first, but the end made my pulse race and gave me CHILLS. I made this not-so-mistake, I got the third and fourth late one night, I got home and couldn't sleep so I pick the third up. I finished around 1:30. Oh man. What a whopper of an ending. I sounded like this: "OH MY GOSH!!! AAAHHHHH!!!!!" then I couldn't help but look outside, it was a moonless night, totally dark. I definitely couldn't sleep after that..what was my solution? To pick up the fourth (I keep forgetting there's only four, it seemed like more!). Okay, so the only problem with this review, is I've never read the first in the series. I thought the second was first. So, I've never read the beginning of Cammie's adventures. It seemed like maybe there was something before it, but I never missed a piece of vital information, so if you want to skip the first one too, go ahead. This is a hall of famer, and a DEFINITE READ IN THE DARK..under a moonless night..when you can't sleep...(I'll be picking up book one as soon as I can)

    Awesome book

I read all the books so far but this one has left me unspoken. It was the forensic part that kept getting me into it further and further. Kyle was so mean in this one but I understood how Cameryn felt. I am waiting for the next book and I'm currently reading another series cause there were no more books for this one.

This book is really good! You won't get bored.

This book is really good. It has a little bit of everything. It has friendship, romance, mystery, forensics, suspense, imagery, and probably something else that I can't remember at the moment. Alane does a really good job at writing this. You can tell that she researched the forensics. I think that makes the book more believable. The forensics and the case are what make the book interesting.

This is a I-can't-put-this-book-down-I-have-to-keep-reading-and-get-to-the-end-so-I-can-find-out-what-happens book. You should get this book; you will like it. When you're done reading, you should review it so others will want to read it and the rest of the series.

****You need to read the series from the beginning and in order first before you read The Dying Breath so you can understand this book.****

WOW!!! THIS IS THE BEST SERIES EVER!!! I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN!!! I GOT IT DONE IN TWO DAYS!!! WHAT CAN I SAY ALANE! ANOTHER GREAT BOOK!!! I have read the entire series and this is by far the best book yet!!! i hope to god alane writes another book in the series!!! the pages of all four books will be worn by the time another book comes out!!! ive already read the dying breath 6 times and there will be many more reads until another one comes out!!! i will read this series forever!!! im in the 7th grade and if you are not allowed to read romance novels i wouldn't recommend the book. even though these books are forensic mystery's alane puts a twist in the series. its a love story between the main charactera cameryn mahoney and justin crowley. which delivers suspense through out the entire book because cammie's ex-boyfriend, kyle o'neil (a sychopath) is stalking her. cameryn soon realizes she isn't the only one under kyle's watch. you will have to read the book to find out that part. then cameryn realizes kyle has not just killed their former teacher brad oakes but he also has killed 3 other people one being the town eccentric then the other being a big star the other a big producer. cameryn is now not just trying to save her life, but another person very close to her heart. read to find out!!! i would definatley reccomend this book to anybody interested in forensics and a sweet little love story!!!

Definately one of my favorite series!

Another brilliant idea- forensic mysteries! This reached it's full potential and beyond. It has unbelievable suspense and makes you want to read more. It put me at the edge of my seat when I read the last paragragh of the previous book, Circle of Blood, and I couldn't wait to read this one. And it didn't disappoint- I will assure you that if you liked the other books, you will love this one! I, for one, hope there will be another book!

This fourth installment in the "Christopher Killer" series is PHENOMENAL! And I go on record as saying it's the best one yet!! Alane delivers a book rife with non-stop action, suspense and romance! Yet she stills leaves plenty of room for a book 5...PLEASE ALANE GIVE US MORE!!!!!!!

After highly anticipating its release (Thanks to those MASSIVE cliffhangers in "Circle of Blood"), I got this book one evening and began reading it about 9pm that night...and at 12:30am - I finished it! Literally COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! I didn't even care that I was going to be wrecked for sleep at work the next day.

If you have never read any of Alane's books (first of all why the heck haven't you?! ;)) - get to your nearest book store and get all 4 of the Christopher Killer series! They are so well written and so intoxicating - you will burn through all 4 in days (maybe just hours!)!

Thanks for delivering another FABULOUS BOOK!!!

Cameryn is being stalked by her old boyfriend, killer Kyle O'Neil. The local cops, especially Justin, are keeping a close eye on her. But no one realizes just how close Kyle is getting until Cameryn finds the body of Leather Ed.

Next to Ed's body is a note left just for Cameryn. The house is a mess, but the note has been left out in plain sight for anyone to find. The note calls Cameryn his soul mate and that he will love her until her dying breath. This does not sound good at all.

From that point on, it seems like Kyle is one step ahead of everyone. When two famous people are found dead in a restaurant, the case gets even more bizarre. Dr. Moore, the cranky pathologist, calls Cameryn in to assist with the autopsies. He's discovered something in their lungs he's never encountered before. With a cryptic clue left by Kyle, Cameryn won't quit until she can figure out the clue and tie Leather Ed's death with the other two dead people.

All the while, Kyle keeps trying to contact Cameryn, and Justin keeps trying to protect her. Cameryn is finally willing to let Justin into her heart a little further, but life keeps getting in the way.

THE DYING BREATH does not fail to capture the reader's attention. Keeping up with events from past stories, Cameryn develops into a determined young woman unwilling to give in to the fear Kyle is trying to promote. With a hint more romance in this novel, there is truly something for everyone: suspense, intrigue, romance, and yes, even a little gore (What did you expect? It's a novel about forensics!). The pages will fly by, and the ending will leave you breathless.

The series gets better and better

I really enjoyed this book, I think that Kyle was even better than he was in the first book. His presserverance to get what he wants, and his intensity and maddness really added to this book. It really kept Cameryon and her loved ones on the edge. In each book Cameryon has been placed in danger but with each book the suspense builds more and more. I really hope Ms. Ferguson continues this series, I know many people who are waiting hopefully for the next book. This was the first Alane Ferguson book I could not put down, I read it all in one night.

    This series is amazing!!

This series is one of my all time favorites. I found the first book at my local library, and have been hooked ever since. This last one I think is my favorite. It was edgy and fun. I loved the relationships that developed between certain characters, and the way the story played out. I would defiantly say that this book, and the entire series is worth reading. I really hope that she writes more in the series. I will be waiting anxiously to find out if there will be another installment!
