Made me remember

This book made me remember all the anticipation, all the desire, of not just the first experience, every experience........even the disappointing ones.

I CAN RELATE

I was truly moved by this brilliant and vibrantly told tale of the lesbian culture. I too am a lesbian and although I am fourteen years of age, im wise beyond my years and have had plenty of tantilizing experiences with the same gender.

THIS BOOK HAD ME WANTING MORE!!!!!

I had my 1st lesbian relationship when I was 15 yrs old. I came out when I was 17. At eighteen I started reading any lesbian book i could get my hands on.... but nothing could keep me reading. A friend of mine told me about this book and gave it to me to read... I absolutley loved it.... I could not put it down. I read the book in 3days and have read Early Embraces II and Beginnings. I just now found out about Early Embraces III and am going to buy it today. Oh and I never gave my freind her book back.

WOW

I am almost finnished this book and am in aww. I have never read anything like it, I am just comming out. Kinda I am very curious and this book is opening that up even more.. I think about the stories and relate to a lot of them. Palamano Bugs is great! The softness and honesty of this book is eye opening. I am so new to all of this and want to read more and more. I have been dening things for so long I feel like I just want to explode and this book alows me to not feel so alone in my world. My world now has others in it from this book and comforts me.

Where Were Books Like These When I Was Growing Up?

Allowing women to tell their own experiences, in their own words, about their 'early embraces' makes for a wonderful compilation. Many of the stories are so well-written and touching that they bear re-reading and caused me to buy this book for others, including a young woman I know who is working through the coming out process. ++++++ I only wish this book had been available when I was younger. I would have embraced it completely--and early, too! Lindsey Elder has done a nice job compiling the stories, and I recommend this book to any young woman just coming out or any other woman who is interested in revisiting that heady, confusing time of her first experience with love and lust.

Sweet, sometimes repetitive

In general, it was a good book, almost impossible to put down. Some of the stories are absolutely wonderful, and would make a divine read if they were part of a full-length story. The only thing that I didn't like was that some of the stories seemed to mirror each other, making seem repetitive in some aspects. There were a few foul words thrown in which, to me, ruined what would have been a beautiful, bittersweet first-love story. They seemed to be thrown in for shock value, but they served more to cheapen the stories they showed up in.

No Girls Allowed

This book changed my life!!! I was in the 12th grade when I first bumped the doughnuts. I felt weird inside because I didn't know how to tell my mother. Then I thought why should I be the one to tell mother? Why not let mother tell the daughter? You got it right, granny broke it down for me real proper like that one hot night.

Lesbian Heaven

This book was a good to someone that is just coming out or is not to sure about being a lesbian. This book show you things that a person might not. This book helps firsttimers. Lets them know it is ok to be scared.
