This book is simply elegant in its approach to mindful eating and living with diabetes. The simplicity in which complex neuro-psychosocial and metabolic processes are described makes the concepts easy to understand, and each section is presented as a Mindful Byte to nurture and enrich ones experience of life with diabetes. As a certified diabetes educator, diabetes health coach, and a person who lives with diabetes, I find this book highly engaging and compelling. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all my clients, and to anyone who has diabetes or finds themselves at risk for development of diabetes. Claire M. Blum, MS Ed, RN, CDE, Program Coordinator, Partners & Peers for Diabetes Care

This is a Must-Have book for your home library.

“Eat What You Love, Love What you Eat with Diabetes”..., is an outstanding and comprehensive manual for those who are prediabetic or diabetic. It teaches you the how to, want to, way to sustain a new way to manage diabetes for a healthy, thriving lifestyle. The book contains cutting-edge research, self care exercises, healthy lifestyle habits and much more. You will want to re-read and refer to this valuable reference book many times.

Mindfulness is the key word in this encompassing and empowering book for thriving with prediabetes or diabetes: mindful awareness of self; mindful awareness of the present moment; a mindful awareness of what, when and why you feel the way you do and what is means; a mindful awareness that YOU can take charge of your health and life.

Congratulations to Michele May, MD and Megrette Fletcher, Med, RD, CDE for dedicating their knowledge and research to this life-saving book for those with diabetes.

What a wonderful resource for those managing diabetes and pre-diabetes. The authors' provide a mindfulness program that's accessible and empowering, with an approach that offers structure without rigidity. Their think-care-nourish-live format incorporates all aspects of diabetes self-care from a mindfulness perspective, and the authors present information in a concise, and easy-to-understand way that's not overwhelming. As a dietitian who has read several books on mindfulness, I found this book to be refreshing in its consistency of format, direct yet empathetic tone and singular focus on those managing diabetes.
