Impractical Pseudoscience
This book is about a VEGAN, RAW-FOOD diet. It that's not your preference, or you don't appreciate the dogmatic, quasi-mystical aspects of that lifestyle, this is not for you.
This was highly recommended on a natural cosmetics website I like. But I found it so smug, restrictive and wierdly documented that I couldn't read it. He uses "Kirlian photography" - a photo technique that purportedly records auras - to measure the nutritional value of food. And he claims that staples such as potatoes, beans, lean meat, dairy and nuts are all harmful. I'm going to exchange it for a more practical guide to nutrition.4 out of 5 people found this review helpful.

Too far out in left field
I tried giving this a fair shake since I am, like many, concerned with improving my heath and inner and outer beauty, but when the author started talking about charging water with quartz crystals the concepts got way too out there for me. It also had far too many half baked ideas about physiology and acid-base(alkaline) balance for me to take the underlying concepts in this book seriously. I'm sorry I spent the money for the book. The money would have been better spent on legitimate fiction.

The Most Beautiful Food Book
I have never been drawn to the raw way of eating - however this book has moved me on this issue. This is a beautiful book - buy it for that reason alone. The pictures, the feel of the pages - fabulous. The information about the different foods, the background and context for what is being said and why all make sense. The information is helpful whatever you think of raw eating. The presentation is not the least bit pushy. I have tried and am trying many of these recommendations from this book. As a result I feel healthier, enjoy my food more, am losing weight without counting calories, watching portions sizes or feel hungry. I love it and have given it as a gift.

Serious about the truth?
This gets you to the heart of what must be done to get youthful beauty. As I read the book I would stop reading and start doing exactly what was recommended! Visible results within days - highly recommended!
