    A reviewer

wow i really have to give credit to Francine Rivers as one of my favorite authors now, with a completely awesome book. The first one in this series was so great. You love the characters, you love the setting, it leaves you one one of the most suspensful and sad endings. It continues in this book. The characters are deeper, the relationships stronger, the plots thicker and more capivating. It brings you to the Lord so well that you just can't help but try to be like Hadassah. s I was reading this book, I found that I wasn't counting page numbers to the end of the book. It just flys by because you are so abosorbed. The one gripe I had was how long it took for Hadassah to reveal herself to Marcus. But it was definetly worth it to his reaction. It made me cry. An author that makes me cry shows me that she puts her heart into writing a book.

    Loved it!

This is a great book series. I was hooked from the first book and the author does not disappoint in this book two. This is the continuation of Hadassah. A christian girl who is saved by God through the doctor after her episode with the lions. She is a true christian and a true believer. She goes back to serve Julia (the one that sent her to the lions) because God calls her there. These stories get better and better, they are hard to put down and I look forward to the next one in the series.

    Echo in the Darkness

This book brought to life what it must have been like living during those times as described in the book. Love is so powerful that it can overcome just about any adversity. Faith in God, seeking his guidance and obeying his will can bring about so many changes in ones' life, as told about in this book by Francine Rivers. The book shows me how everything happens in God's time, not ours, and his timing is perfect.

    One of a kind

This book was so eye-opening for me. It's powerful, emotional, story of Marcus moved me to tears. Finally, a sequel in a series that more than matches with its original. A must-read, Echo In The Darkess is one-of-a-kind.

enthralling conclusion to A Voice in the Wind!

It was so awesome to follow Marcus through his spiritual journey toward the truth and a real relationship with Jesus Christ, as well as to see how Julia makes peace with God, again through the loving care of Hadassah. The part where I couldn't put the book down and I found myself trembling is when I wanted Hadassah to let Marcus love her, deformed, veiled, whatever -- that was so intense and Rivers is an incredible author!

    Loved it!

You must read the first in the series to fully enjoy this second book, but it was wonderful. Enduring love story, dedication and complete surrender to God's Will... LOVED it!

    Best Book I've Ever Read

An amazing book, full of adventure. I've never seen an author with so much talent. The rest in the series were just as good.

    Eye Opener!!!!!

This book touched my heart as much as the first book, A Voice in the Wind had. I found my self flabergasted at the detailed information and how the conflicts Hadassah dealt with in the story are some of the very things I myself struggle with. Being a teenager, it is hard sometimes to share the gospel with people for the fear of what they might think of you, but when I read Hadassah's story I realized I was only thinking about me and my feelings. This book also showed me how to show love without conditions or expectations to whom I show it to.

    good conclusion to Hadassah's story

In this story, Hadassah is no longer afraid to share her faith. As she reaches out to everyone around her and shares her faith with everyone, you realize that God is more important than your fears. The story also tells about Marcus and Julia as they go from dispair to forgiveness. Another great story.

    Awesome!

Truly inspirational reading! Our God is awesome! His love, forgiveness, patience, and understanding shine forth through Francine Rivers characters in this book. Reading these books also gave me a glimpse into history, on how things have been the same throughout the ages. I cried a lot while reading this book, it has touched my heart and strengthened my faith in the Lord.

    Ok read

It was bit slow in some parts but still a good read. Had a good story line. Not as good as the first 2 books, though.

    A wonderful book!

This second book about Hadassah and the family she serves is amazing. She is the perfect example of grace worked through a life. She is forgiving and giving. I loved the book.

    A little disappointing.

A friend recommended this series to me and I just loved the first book, A Voice in the Wind. Unfortunately, as often happens, the second book was not as good. While I understand the author's purpose is in part to express her deep Christian faith, I found it to be too heavy handed in this novel and I found myself skimming through much of it.
