    I Also Recommend:

    Elemental

I loved this CD. I'm late late new comer to Loreena McKennit so I didn't rush out and buy Elemental when it was new. It has since been remastered. It was recorded in 1985 so as with all singers her voice is even more beautiful than it is now. What a phenomemon Loreena is.

    Stolen Child- transforming

I purchased the original Elemental on tape years ago and it openned me up to this other world of music... so strong, so poetic, medieval. I follow her music and enjoyed her in concert in Baltimore. All is done with violin-MIDI and authentic instruments. Wow. ( And I am a classical pianist) .

    Magical

This CD has beautiful vocals, even though it may not have her most exciting work. (For exciting, go with "Live in Paris and Toronto") "The Stolen Child" has a beautiful innocence. W.B. Yeats was a beautiful poet, Ms. McKennitt adds even more innocence to it. The first song on this CD is a beautiful rendition of the "Blacksmith." The last song on this CD has beautiful vocals with soaring descants and harmonies all sung by Ms. McKennitt. Her gorgeous soprano voice vaults to heights unknown in her other CD's. Magnificient.
