An invaluable book for the classroom
I am a third grade teacher and have been teaching for over 10 years and am always looking for useful books about discipline. This is the best I've found. It is very easy to use. It is organized in an A to Z format and is organized by problems. The strategies are very practical and able to be implemented in the classroom -- unlike many other books I've looked at which don't seem to understand the constraints and pressures that teachers face. For each problem there are a bunch of strategies; you should be able to find a few that are relevant to your situation. This book has proved a life-saver a bunch of times. I keep it on my desk and refer to it constantly. Good luck. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

A very practical, useful, and readable guide
I got this book because I really liked Dr. Shore¿s book called ¿Keeping Kids Safe.¿ That was a very clear and useful guide to protecting our kids. This new book on discipline problems is done in the same way and I like it. It breaks out the problems we deal with in a very accessible way, and then Dr. Shore suggests many ways of tackling them, so there are different avenues to addressing the same problem (which makes since since the kids are so different). Very nicely done. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
