This 170 page free book was okay

This free, 170 page book was well edited. It is a lawyer, murder mystery, set in Toronto, Canada, so the laws are different than those of the United States. I found this book to be not exactly entertaing, but very interesting. It is a nice, clean read and other than the murder there is no other adult subject matter. No cursing and no violence, except for a couple of bonks on the head. My favorite thing about this book was that the word," smirked" was only used once. I am really tired of reading smirk and its derivatives. The reason I did not give this book a higher rating is because of its lack of details. The book is 99% conversation and trail testimony. I did not think the trail would ever end. I loved the defense lawyer and his bossy sister. There is some off beat humor in this book, which I enjoyed also. There is a lot packed into this book, considering its length. There is not any sex or romance, although an affair is implied. No cursing or religion either. There is not any written in Canadian accents, French words or slang or any other items, Americans would be unfamilar with. Recommended for ages 18 and up. I think anyone younger might consider this book too tedious. For all mystery lovers. This is not chick lit.

    Didn't finish this book

Not my type of mystery. Did not care for the characters. Finally just gave up and archived the book.
