Mystique, glamour, mixed with an extra dash of spice...
This book was wonderful and nowhere near a stereotypical romance novel. Personally, I loved our heroine, she was a real man's woman. There was nothing shy or retiring about her, and she went for what she wants without hesitation. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. The premise is that Stephanie, (our heroine) is a senator's daughter and journalist. She used to cover for a fashion magazine but was fired without a very good reason. After the proverbial pink slip, she is given insider info on a big story that will put her in an elite class of writers and finally prove she is something more than a snazzy dresser. The problem is the lead is about our hero, who is dark and mysterious, and possibly a drug cartel leader. I just adored how good he made being the strong silent type look. He has a good reason for being so secretive in the novel, and the tension as the read goes along can be unbearable.
I'm going to read this one again and again and will surely be on the lookout for more by Ms. Sinna. If you love strong women and even stronger men this is the read for you. This story had every element that I like to read about. Hot men abound, designer fashion that made me green with envy, exotic locations I'm dying to visit and gourmet meals washed down with fine wine. LOVED IT!
