This was a wonderful book. Ms. Moran's books. After reading this

This was a wonderful book. Ms. Moran's books. After reading this book I did feel like there was more that needed to be told. So I searched and found Consuming Fire which is about Adam Campbell but it lets you know what happens to Ruarc and Killian.

    Excellent choice..

This book was a great read.. romance ...true love...God's love..as well as mystery! Even though I loved reading this I felt that at the end... it was't really an ending.. there was lots of things left more or less to the imagination. The ending should have had 1 more chapter. I automatically went to look for the next book, if this was a series.. however to what I could find its not :(

    Very good.

I liked the part where the crofters took Killian and her son in.

Historical Christian book, not historical romance

Decent story, but not much in the way of romance - nearly all love mentioned was about the love of God, & - unfortunately - WAY too preachy fof my taste

    Amazing story!

Suspense, drama, love and loss and of mighty men turning to God to find themselves in an amazing story of untrust that should have been.

Mesmerizing tale of mystery and transforming love...

Killian's once beloved husband has turned into an abusive, jealous man. Under the threat of another violent attack, Killian and her 5 year old son flee into a foreign land, exchanging a dangerous situation for one of unknown peril. Set in Scotland in 1691, the history and culture are rich with tradition, feuds, and castles. While this period in history had not been my typical choice in fiction, I had been impressed with the author's Brides of Culdee Creek series. I was pleasantly rewarded with a enthralling tale of mystery and love. Morgan's versatility as an author is astounding. Morgan has a gift in weaving a story that exposes the soul of its characters, draws in the reader and wraps them in authentic culture and history. At the same time, the story presents the way to true, abundant and everlasting life. Amazing. A book worth experiencing.
