    I Also Recommend:

Ebchanted, Inc is a great book about a quirky nonmagical character.

The premise of a nonmagical person working as Merlin's assistant is engaging. The character and her dating problems and fight against the dark side is well done.

    Absolutely Delightful

For any young woman who has ever felt that she isn't making it in the "real world", this is a page-turning novel that has you sympathizing and cheering for the heroine from the first chapter to the last. It isn't hard, classic fiction, but it is a real, delightful story about someone who finds themselves in over their head, and deals with it the way strong women always do. It is a fantasy, with magic and wizards, but the emotions in it are so true to life that you understand where the main character is coming from, even if you will never have a conversation with a gargoyle.

    Favorite series!!!

** Katie Chandler, a small town Texas girl, is working as an assistant for a monster of a boss while questioning the odd things she encounters in NYC. She soon finds herself being sought after for a position with MSI Inc, a magical company headed by the legendary Merlin. She learns that she has no magic abilities at all but that her lack of magical powers is actually what sets her apart and makes her an important asset to the company and to the fate of the magical battles about to come. With the help of the powerful and gorgeous wizard Owen, Katie finds herself thrown in the middle of the fight between good against evil. **

I absolutely LOVE the Enchanted, Inc. series. I can't get enough of the characters and their adventures. The world of magic portrayed in these books is cute and the characters are very lovable. Katie, our heroine, is incredibly likable and unique in that her "superpower" is that she has no magical powers at all. The romance in this series grows as you go along and isn't just thrown together at the beginning. And any woman who reads these books will fall in love with Owen while at the same time, rooting for him and Katie to find each other.

Most people who read Enchanted Inc have trouble putting it down and finish within hours of starting, then immediately go out and buy the next three books in the series. (I ordered mine before I was halfway through the first book.) And I think you'll enjoy all of the adventure, humor and romance this series has to offer. This book is full of magic, wizards, fairies, elves, and villains. You'll love it. Definitely recommend!!!

*** The author stated before that she would have liked to wrap up the series with a 5th book. Her publisher however, has no intentions of releasing a 5th. Fun Book for the Beach or on a Plane

Lots of fun -- as the blurb says it's a cross between Harry Potter and Sex in the City. Bought it to read on a long plane flight and it filled the bill.

    LOVED IT!

I just finished Enchanted Inc. and was in love. It's hillarious and thrilling all at the same time. The characters are great and you can't help but want to be a wizard yourself. Great book, and I'm now off to read Once Upon Stilettos.
P.S. You can't help but fall in love with Owen. But, get in line people! Owen's mine! (Sorry Katie!)

    Simply Magical

This book is really 'laugh out loud' funny, as are the other 2. You should buy this and tell all your friends to do the same.

Chick Lit and Harry Potter Meet for a Magical Adventure

I loved this novel. Ms. Swendson sticks with what she knows and it's great. Honestly, if you're looking for something fun to read, something that you can read over and over and never tire of, and something that will intrigue you and hold your interest, look no further. Enchanted, Inc. delivers all the goods.

Cute Concept, Not that Cute of a Book

I thought this book sounded like such a cute new take on the chick-lit genre, but it was not written well. The main character is too uptight, which ruins the possible hilarity of the other characters.

    Cute

I liked this book alot. I thought the concept was refreshing. It was cute and light-hearted. However, I did expect more of a chick lit novel. This is really more of a comedy that can be read by both students and adults. Enchanted Inc. is a good stand alone book but it has the potential to be the start to a great series.

    Excellent Read

Not your usual fantasy/romance, but a funny mix of magic and the ordinary world. The writing was great, and the characters were funny. I can't wait for her next book.

    Enchanted, Inc.

Kathleen 'Katie' Chandler lives in a one bedroom apartment, with two roommates, in New York. Her awful boss goes from hot to cold in an instant and treats all her employees worse than any animal. .......................... Suddenly Katie begins getting job offers, via email, from MSI, Inc. It has the feel of a scam, but Katie is getting desperate to change jobs. So she goes to an interview. Turns out that MSI stands for Magic, Spells, & Illusions. It is a company that sells tricks of the trade to the magical beings in the community. Katie does not take much persuading. She has been seeing people with wings (whose feet do not touch the ground), a stone gargoyle that changes positions and buildings (and seemed to wink once), and many other odd things. Katie has always assumed no one else seemed to notice because they were used to it and she had just not been living in NY long enough. ........................... Katie takes the job and begins working in the department of Verification. Katie's ordinariness is rare. Few people, such as herself, lack even a drop of magic. Magic will not work on Katie. Therefore, she can easily spot a fake spell, see hidden clauses in contracts, detect any magically disguised intruders, and more. ........................... The company needs 'immunes' like Katie very badly. An ex-employee is threatening to sell black magic on the streets. If the magic community begins using dark spells, it will harm more than just the magical people in the world. Katie and her new bosses must save the world as we know it. .................................................................... ...................... ***** This is a stand alone novel, but I sure hope it becomes the first of a series. Katie's love life is not mentioned in my synopsis because she has her sights on more than one potential guy. I am told that this is Shanna Swendson's debut novel. I would never have known by reading it. The writing is superb and the story is seamless! Fans of Charlaine Harris's 'Southern Vampire' series will especially enjoy this new author! A fun and witty read! *****

    Enchanted, Inc.

Kate Chandler works for a witch, if you change the spelling slightly, that is. However, her unique abilities make her an exceptional job candidate for MSI, a company that deals in spells and magic. Kate is immune to magic. In a world ruled by enchantment, she sees reality. After passing tests she didn't know she was taking, she is offered a job that seems too good to be true by the wizards at MSI, and soon finds herself working with sprites, fairies, and even Merlin himself. She is being serenaded by disenchanted frog princes and works for a real ogre, literally. Who ever would have thought that saving the world and falling in love could be just a couple of other entries on a to do list? ....................................................... **** Kate's situation allegorizes a profound message in a fun fashion. Everyone is special, even if their specialness is not special. I truly hope this is the first book in a series. The light, yet dry wit balances the unreality of the situations portrayed, and an effusive warmth endears the tale to your heart. ****
