A Disturbing Look Into Our Counterintelligence Efforts
Bill Gertz is plugged into the circuit boards of America's intelligence agencies from the FBI to the NSA. He also details its huge failings from the Ane Montes infiltration of the NSA, a Cuban mole of Puerto Rican descent who did terrible damage as well as the Russian moles Aldrich Ames and Robert Hanssen, the latter Osus Dei spy who is still in the ADX. One case that I did not know of and found to do terrible damage was the Chinese spy Amy Leung, who compromised many CIA wiretapping and NSA intercept missions on the Jiang Zemin. She should have been put in bars for life with the damage she did to our national security. Our intelligence knowledge was lost for at least 10 years by Leung's spying. Thankfully, the FBI has revamped their counterintelligence capability and caught more rings of spies, Russian, Israeli and Chinese, the latter usually being the most prolific.
