    A page turner!

I fell in love with Gena Showalter's books while reading the Lords of the Underworld series. To pass the time until the next book comes out (tomorrow!), I started reading the Alien Huntress Series. I have now become just as much a fan of this series as I am with LOTUW! This book is a fast read and will have you up all night trying to find out what will happen next. It's original, delicious, and leaves you wanting more...

    Enslave Me Sweetly

I recommend you read the first book in the series, Awaken Me Darkly before reading this book. However, the back story on Eden and the character development were so thoroughly detailed, that this story was complete enough to be a stand alone. I really enjoyed this book and read it all in one day. This series didn't take long to worm its way into being one of my favorite series. This installment started off a bit slow. In the beginning Eden and Lucius seemed to be doing more romancing than investigating. However, it didn't take long for the story to start to accelerate; once it picked up speed, it was so good I didn't want it to end. Eden and Lucius have great chemistry. There was plenty of action, otherworldly-creativity and twists and turns seem to be around every corner. Don't let the title fool you, this isn't entirely a romance. For those urban fantasy readers on the fence about this series, take the plunge. This series is cleverly done and the heroines are tough and brave. I highly recommend this book and series to dark urban fantasy readers; and I can not wait to read the next book in series, Savor Me Slowly.

Fun, Action, Sci-fi, Romance....Worked for me

Eden. Raka, beautiful, sensual, deadly. These words describe Eden Black precisely. She is the heroine in the second Alien Huntress novel by Gena Showalter and she is an Assassin. Her misssion to destroy other-worlders trying to sell humans as slaves goes wrong when she loses her prey and winds up hurt. Once recovered she is forced to partner with Lucius Adaire a (human)hunter who believes that Eden can't handle herself. Well, thats just the beginning of Eden proving to him that she CAN handle herself. Which just becomes more fun to read because the interaction between Eden and Lucius is electrifying, dangerous, and hot. As they go undercover to find EenLi not only are they more drawn together but their mission to have Eden abducted and sold to Lucius(the plan) becomes even more dangerous when Eden is sold to a Targon King(not part of the plan)and she must find a way to return back to earth to accomplish their mission. By the time you get to this part of the book, you will have enjoyed all the story in between. What!? You thought I would tell you everything? Not a chance! Make sure you put this on your TBR list because the book has action, yes action, great lead characters, Aliens(some more interesting then others(Devyn), and a great steady pace that's easy to read. I will say this, imagine Mia Snow and Eden Black working together. That's one I'll read! *HINT HINT*

delightful police procedural romantic sci fi

Once a Raka princess, Eden Black is one of the deadliest Assassins on earth. She is assigned to kill EenLi, but the target escapes and Eden is injured. To assist her, Eden, already humiliated by her failure to accomplish the mission, is outraged when she is assigned a partner and making matters worse, a human male. --- Her new partner Lucius Adaire finds it amusing that a female assassin allegedly exists, but is assigned to work with the beautiful golden skined alien. As a team they are expected to infiltrate and end the human slave trade that sends earthling to other planets. As they work this impossible mission, Lucius and Eden are attracted to one another. As the danger mounts, they begin to fall in love, but first completing the assignment must be achieved before they can explore their feelings. --- This sequel to the delightful police procedural romantic sci fi AWAKEN ME DARKLY is a terrific tale due to the respective attitudes of the new teammates. Initially he scoffs at a female doing his line of work and she ridicules a human especially a male keeping up with her. As they work the case together respect and admiration take root along with their attraction which turns to love. The investigation grips readers while Gena Showalter makes her world filled with aliens seem genuine because of it. Fans will appreciate this superb science fiction investigative tale. --- Harriet Klausner

Enslave Me Sweetly¿hang on for a WILD ride!

Eden Black is Raka, an alien with golden hair and skin, for which they have been hunted for, almost to extinction. Michael, her father, adopted her at an early age after her parents had been killed by a burglar. She¿s an ¿always gets her alien¿ assassin with a wealth of attitude and a bit of insecurity, because she feels she has to prove herself to Michael. The book opens up with her on the toughest assignment yet¿Assassinating the lowest alien scum, a slave trader by the name of EenLi. Her target gets away and she ends up getting shot trying to save two slaves that were chained to the walls of the warehouse When she wakes up feeling she has failed and finds out that she now has a partner, Lucius. Which goes over like a lead balloon. They hate each other but decide they need to work together to get rid of EenLi and save any more slaves from being taken. What I¿ve told you about here is just a very small part of this fantastic world that Gena Showalter has created. It started with Awaken Me Darkly and now continues with Enslave Me Sweetly¿I can¿t wait to see what happens in the next book of this series!

    Romance with a scifi twist

When I read the cover on the first book in this series, "Awaken Me Darkly" I was hooked. They just keep getting better.

"Enslave Me Sweetly" is the 2nd book in the series, a suspenseful and sexy read that I highly recommend. If you are considering this book, read the series, in order. There's enough information carried from one to the other to make them just that much better a read.

Enslave Me Sweetly (Alien Huntress Series #2)

This was my first alien huntress novel. And i must say i was pleasantly surprise. Gena showalter has a nice writing style. I like the way she built up the sexual tension between eden black and lucius adaire. When the two finally connected, it left you wanting more and more. I would not hesitate to read another novel by this author.

Fun, action-packed, layered sensual read with outstanding story...

WOW! I thought Awaken Me Darkly was a terrific Alien Huntress novel. It couldn't possibly get better, right? Wrong! This is the second Alien book and boy was it awesome! Eden Black is an Assassin. Also happens to be an alien, from the Raka race -- beautiful, golden skin and hair, sensual and very sought-after since they're rare on Earth. She used to be a spoilt princess but is now a deadly assassin who can definitely take care of herself. Boy can she kick butt! But when her latest target, EenLi, gets away she gets hurt and is given a partner. Lucius Adaire is human and totally infuriates her, but sets her desire ablaze at the same time. Together the two must bring down the slave trade of humans somehow being sent to other planets... And so begins their wild, passionate, action-packed adventure. I absolutely love this futuristic world Gena Showalter has created. It's filled with wonderful imagery that sometimes makes you forget you don't actually live there. The story captivated me so much I felt like I was in the story. And her writing style, once again wraps around you until all you wanna do is keep reading and reading... eager to find out how it all pans out. Eden's book is well-worth the word AWESOME. If you enjoyed Mia's book, you'll love this one too! There's a bit of everything -- including the scorching sensuality between Eden and Lucius. It's delicious! Not to mention the new array of wonderful characters. Good or bad, alien or human - they're all realistic and terrific. I highly recommend you all check out this book as soon as it's released! It's a fun, action-packed, layered sensual read with an outstanding story.
