    Very good lots of action

This book was a good installment. Shiarra grows as a person and you see good charcter development. Shes sees that not all others are evil just like people some are good and some aren't. She also sees that's she has made some bad chocies that lead her and her friends into danger and the world isn't exactly black and white like she thought before. It has good action scenes. I just wish this book was a little longer. Only 255 pages.

Enslaved By the Others (H&W Investigations, #6) by Jess Haines

Private Investigator/Other Specialist, Shiarra Waynest, has been captured by vampire slave trader Max Carlyle.  She needs to rescue her friends and escape but will she be able to do it before Max breaks her.

I felt for Shiarra.  She is a worthy heroine who cares deeply about her friends; especially Sara, whom she considers a sister.  She struggles while being held captive, this makes her believable and human or sort of human.  I admire that she is relentless and a fighter.

Max is a well-done  bad guy.  He is evil and cunning.  It is easy to dislike and not trust him.

Enslaved By the Others is well-written and has non-stop action that will keep you guessing the outcome of the story.  The plot was exciting and heart-stopping.  Enslaved By the Others is a brilliant urban fantasy that stimulates the imagination.

Betrayal has led to Shiarra Waynest waking up as a prisoner of an evil vampire. She has been in a lot of really bad situations but this one might finally break her.

If you haven't read any of the H&W Investigations series, I highly recommend starting from the beginning. Even though this is a fabulous story, it doesn't contain a lot of storyline to encourage the reader's emotional development to its characters...a connection that you gain with previous installments.

Enslaved By the Others is a goose bump inducing, vividly depicted, action packed dark urban fantasy. Marvelous new Others, bold new plot developments and a wonderful and likeable heroine make Enslaved by the Others a great addition to the H&W Investigations series.
