Interesting story...sounds like fiction...
This is the story of Jack Unterweger, an Austrian man, who is convicted or a murder in the early 1970's. While in prison, he writes his autobiography, as well as some screenplays, and ends up somehow getting the sympathy of the literary community. They end up petitioning for, and ultimately winning, his release as a reformed man.
While on parole, he murders prostitutes, has several girlfriends, sleeps with several prostitutes, gets engaged a few times, and just generally lives as a lowlife. He certainly has a way of convincing women of his sweetness and greatness, though, which seems so strange to someone from the outside.
This is his story from his parole until his court verdit and directly after.
If you like true crime, it's one of the most unusual I've read. It really does have the makings of a great movie if it's done properly, and it was definitely an interesting read.
