A Fantastic Start to a Writing Career
Dawn of Destiny, the first in a series of books by Lee Stephen. Amidst full-time post secondary and a 30 hour/week job, I somehow found time to read this book in about three days, with the few hours I had to spare. This book had my attention right from the first sentence, and it didn't let it it go until the very last. Lee's writing style made every scene come alive in my mind, so much that it felt like I was plopped into an IMAX theatre. My brain had surround sound. When the scene called for silence, it was dead quiet. At one point in the book during what was called a 'bug hunt,' I was actually startled. Lee created the characters in such a way that it's so easy to empathize with them. They're so incredibly real and fleshed out. There's no cardboard cut-out characters in this book, each of them has a personality that one person or another can identify with.
