    Cute story but abrupt ending

I almost gave this 3 stars instead of 4 and may still change the star rating before I post this review. The story was cute and it held my interest even though I knew someone in real life would probably never do or say the things Carrie said and did. The only thing I was disappointed with was the ending. I felt like the writer should have spent more time on it and given more detail about what happened. It was almost like someone giving you the ingredients for a pie, with detailed instructions how to put the ingredients together, then telling you to put the pie in the oven and eat it when it's done, leaving out the temperature of the oven and how long to bake it. I almost felt like the author was tired of writing by the time she got to the end of the book. In spite of the lazy ending, I don't regret reading it because it was a cute story.
