    Etsy 101

Etsy 101 starts out very basic with how to register and shop and then quickly jumps into the main focus of the book – selling. Despite the large amount of information provided, the book was a quick read. The author’s tone was light and the lay out made it easy to skip around and find answers to different questions. The seller profiles were very interesting and informative; however, what I really found helpful were the photography tips and information on advertising/marketing and legally protecting my work. (Before reading this book I knew nothing of light tents or how to use facebook and twitter as marketing tools.) I will not hesitate to recommend this book and will be hanging onto my copy for reference.

This is a very good how-to manual. It is clearly written and eve

This is a very good how-to manual. It is clearly written and everything is laid out in an easy-to-understand fashion. Definitely a must-have if you are thinking about starting a seller's account on Etsy. The only major note that I have about the contents is that they can probably be found in the FAQ section of Etsy, but this book would probably be much easier to read. I have an ARC and noticed a couple of places where there were blank pages. I don't know if that happens in the final version of the book, but if it does, it should probably be fixed. Also, I understand the purpose of having the real-life examples of Etsy stores in there, but I kinda saw it as just free publicity. Just a personal preference though.

If You Want To Sell On Etsy, Buy This Book First

This book, Etsy 101 by Steve Weber is an absolutely marvelous book. If you, like many of us, want to try your hand at selling on the website Etsy, that seems to continuously grow in popularity as time goes by, you need to get this book. I opened an account on Etsy some time ago, even had a few sales, but I never really understood all the ins and outs of the web site until reading this book. Like all of Weber's other books it is jam-packed with good and concise information and instruction that is detailed but easy to understand. There are loads of interesting backgrounds about different Etsy sellers and the book provides a lot of good advice. It's an enjoyable read, well-written, and provides all the detail and instruction needed to easily understand how to sell on Etsy. I highly recommend this book.
