Hauntingly unforgettable

Having read this book when it was first published, I found it so memorable I saved it for my daughter who is now 30. She, in turn, put it away for her own. It is definitely a "must read", even for Irish-American Catholics like us.

this book was horrible

I thought Evergreen was poorly written and the characters seemed like they weren't even real people. It wasn't romantic at all, just boring. I couldn't even finish it. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone except maybe to my worst enemy.

    To Holly

I've never had my first kiss because I am still young. But here is my advise. If he keeps eyeing you with a little look in his eye, thenn you know he wants to kiss you. But before you kiss him, wait till the look gets bigger. Two more pieces of advice. One, pop a breath mint. Two, DON'T FORCE THE KISS!!!!!! Thanks for reading! †‡Ashlynn‡†

    Long and boring

This is the first book I've read by Belva Plan and, I'm sorry, but it will be the only one. I did not enjoy her writing style. For such a long and tragic story it lacked emotion. She killed off so many of the key characters! At the points where there was high drama it was anticlimatic. It felt so monotonal. I don't understand this author's high acclaim. Dull, dull, dull. I did not find this to be such a great story. The writing was lackluster.
