First I have to say a HUGE thank you to Jen at YA Romantics for her awesome "Hot Of The Presses" post yesterday.  I had Evertrue on my calendar for release next month, so when I saw her post I bought the book right then.  I have been dying to finish this awesome trilogy!

I loved the first two books in this series, and was seriously hoping that the third one would be just as good.  I get so nervous when the conclusion of a series comes out, because I want them to end the way "I" want them to.  Some series I have read end horribly, and it kind of ruins the series as a whole for me.  I am so happy to say that this book did NOT disappoint.  It was so fantastic.

When I am reading a book that has a love triangle I always end up going for the guy that they never pick.  It's kind of a bummer..but hey, maybe I just like the "underdog".  Well, in this series I never wanted her with Cole.  Ever.  I didn't like him from the beginning.  His character comes to life for me in this book though.   In the other books he was just plain evil in my opinion.  In this book, he kept me guessing about whether or not he really changes or if it is all an elaborate scheme to get Nikki to yet again, do what he wants.

I love Nikki and Jack.  They are just such a great couple.  Nothing has been easy for them in their relationship, yet they still fight to be together.  True love.

This book was so intense for me.  I couldn't put it down.  It's the ultimate showdown between Nikki and Everneath.  Nikki and Jack are determined to get Nikki's heart and life back.  Cole has other plans, he steal Nikki's heart and hides it from her so that he can keep her close to him.  Cole knows that Nikki has to have him in her life to feed off of to stay alive.

When Nikki misses a feeding, and they cannot find Cole, I was sure he had done it on purpose.  When they finally find him and he seems to have "amnesia" it was hard for me to trust him.  I like "amnesia" Cole so much more :).

While Nikki's shackles get darker they realize that their scheme to destroy Everneath has to happen sooner than later.  It gets intense.  They travel between Everneath and Earth as they determine the best way to destroy Everneath.  Just when you think Cole has betrayed them yet again, something new comes to light.

There are just so many twists and turns to this book.  Ever time I thought Cole had gotten Nikki right where he wanted her, something happens to show he was actually helping.  So, like I said before Cole kind of came to life for me in this book.  I don't want to give to much away, but I end up "kind of" liking him.  Only kind of though....hehe.  To me he had done too much to fully redeem himself in my eyes, but he was an AWESOME bad guy.

There seems to be something happening to Nikki at all times, so she and Jack never seem to have moments of peace.  It makes for an exciting ride.

The end of the book is fantastic.  This trilogy ended so well, and I am so glad.

If you liked the first two books in this series, you will love Evertrue.

I had so much expectations for this book....I kept counting the days until it would finally be here so I could read it and finally find that happy ending I was expecting for that certain someone..... I was disappointed the book didn't end like I was hoping it would but none the less it was a fair ending, not the best in my opinion. I felt the book was a bit boring at times, not much going on so I had to rush reading sometimes so I could get to an interesting part. I do recommend reading this last book so you can have closure on the series.

Throughout this amazing series I've had sooooooooooooooooo many

Throughout this amazing series I've had sooooooooooooooooo many issues with Cole. I mean, first book, ya fine, hated Cole, and balled my eyes out when it came to Jack and Nikki. For crying out loud, he sacrificed his ESSENCE for her. Can you get more romantic? Yet somewhere in the middle of Cole and Nikki's journey in book 2, I actually found myself rooting for Cole. I was thinking that even though Jack sacrificed his essence for Nikki I would be perfectly fine if Jack died. Then they saved Jack. I found myself confused for a brief period of time, I was actually trying to figure out a sinnario where Cole and Nikki could still be together. Then, in a span of a paragraph, I when from loving Cole to wanting to jump inside the book and strangle him. I mean just ARGH...COLE...AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH....WHY!!!!!!!!! Then came the third book. I started off on the same spiral of hate thingy as Nikki did when it came to Cole. Then slowly, and the book continued on, I started to forgive him. That was until that stupid, awful speech, and the sacrifice at the end. I mean ARGGGGGGGGGGGGH COLE.... WHY WHY WHY!!!!!!!!!! I found myself yet again rooting for him. I knew it was the last book and that there was no way they would end up together, but I still couldn't help hoping. Brodi Ashton twisted my emotions every which way. It was an amazing series that I LOVED and HATED so much. I found myself crying at, yelling at, and throwing this book (along with the other two). A.k.a. I can get really wrapped up in a good, vibrant book.

Hearts aren't meant to have pathes

My heart slowly stopped beatibg as, in the back if my mind, as safe and sound started playing and - spoiler- nikki started begging cole to not break his pick. Tears fell from my eyes as i couldnt handle what happenned... if this is the end then im glad he ended as i always saw him in my head as, his memory will always be engraved in my heart. And in ny opinion, as much as i love Jack, Cole will always be the better choice to me for Nik.
