    Bonus for SACD listeners

For those of you out there in cyberspace who have invested in a SACD player and are Police fans this edition is a must.Hidden away on the multi channel surround sound layer is the never before released(to my knowledge)re-recorded version of "De do do da,de da da da".I can only assume it was recorded around the same time as "Don't Stand So Close To Me '86."But be warned,it is only on the SACD multi channel layer, not on the standard cd layer so you must have a SACD player to hear this little gem.Worth the price to buy this compilation just for this track.10/10.

Still - after all these years

These songs confirm Sting's early genius as a popwriter and the musical magic this trio produced-- all these hits and not a lemon among them! The only disappointment is that the remastering aids the division of the tracks but not necessarily the quality of a song. two examples: Roxanne sounds over-produced and the later version of Don't Stand So Close is not as good as the original [with that, the album still warrants 5 stars]. Otherwise, after listening to this you'll probably realize that the Police could very well have been one of the best rock bands ever. It prompts a thought of what could have been

    Excellent

This cd is a *very* good collection of police songs. The only real qualm I had with it was the fact that it doesn't have 'canary in a coalmine' on it. :)
