Totally sexy that's how I would describe this book. Danielle and Will when they see each other at family functions act like their in grade school picking on each other but when Danielle has to move in with him temporarily their real feelings come to the surface. I loved Dani's character she's feisty and kinky and has loved Will for three years but she's not ready to give up her career in the fire department as a fire rescue team with her dog...or will she have to? William is a stick up his butt, sexy as sin CFO for Caldwell Fine Furnishings, his five year plan is find a society wife, have some kids and be bored to tears...well until he meets Dani. Sparks fly, sex gets kinky and he can't think straight. I loved both these characters but loved Coco the most ....I thought the author created amazing characters, I loved Jamie Will's brother he's just as kinky as the rest...I also loved all the Caldwell's..funny things get revealed...loved the story line, very sexy, kinky, funny and loving all in one. 5 starsWas this review helpful? This book is one of those that taught me never to judge a book by its cover. When I saw the cover, I was sold! I mean who isn’t when it comes to a set of abs right there for you to stare at? I thought this book was originally going to be a smut filled story; well I was completely wrong on that aspect!
Don’t get me wrong, there was still plenty of smut happening in the story, but there was an actual story line that was happening! There was drama, excitement, suspense, humor; everything that a girl could want was in this book. (At least to me that is!)
In my opinion, the author did a really good job at describing the characters and their personalities. I was unsure in the beginning of how a relationship between Dani and Will would work. They take the “opposites attract” to quite an extreme. Especially considering how opposite they are, in both their personality and professional lives.
I really enjoyed Dani’s character though. Throughout the book, you could tell that she really loved her job and didn’t want to give it up, but she did want more out of life. I think that it’s great that she was sticking to her guns and doing what she loved. With Will’s character, to be honest I wasn’t sure how I felt about him. And I’m still not sure how I feel about him now that I think about it. He is very uptight and while we did get to see him “unclench” a bit throughout the book, I am still wondering how it would work between the two of them.
Overall, I did enjoy this story immensely because it caught me completely off guard, it kept my attention and the story line was just amazing. While there are a bunch of books out there about firefighters, there aren’t that many out there with a female being the firefighter. I think that was a great thing to add to the story!
I will be sure to check into more books from this author in the future!

The best thing about Kristine Cayne's books is her characters. She has the ability to create these people in her stories that make you like them, love them, and be happy and sad for them. And of course I always love the woman who dares not to conform. Dani is my kind of girl. She is not refined or sophisticated, but she is the best thing that will ever happen to anyone who has the luck to cross her path. She knows what she wants and goes after it, despite what it makes others think of her. Will is everything Dani is not. He has his life planned down to the smallest details, and he is afraid to deviate from that plan. He knows what he wants, but not what he needs. Was this review helpful? If opposites attract, Will does not stand a chance with Dani around. Their relationship is precarious, but they have this amazingly steamy chemistry that almost caused my Kindle to sweat! Whether they are fighting, teasing, or loving, Dani and Will burn up the pages. Add that to the humor and suspense written in, and you've got everything you need for a great story.
I love Kristine Cayne's writing and am looking forward to more from this series.
