With a great ear, Ms Atta presents not just Nigeria, but especially the tenacity, resilience, and humor of the 'Nijah woman' This book is witty, sad, insightful, and wise. I loved every page of itWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

A fine first novel
Atta has given us a wonderful first novel. She has chosen as her setting, Lagos, Nigeria, and has written with great skill, wit, and a careful ear for history. This story will appeal to anyone who enjoys a good story, and especially to those who are hungry for more stories set in the African continent. Was this review helpful?
