Ex Machina continues on with its political climate centered around an alien twist. This second volume proves less entertaining than the first, choosing to focus less on Hundreds' colorful history and more on the technology that gave him his powers. The mystery is laid out in a very gripping way, however, and Vaughn is still able to surprise in the final issue. As far as the quieter, political moments, volume two remains interesting, offering up a very realistic, political take on gay marriage. Overall, this volume is of course worth getting, as is any part of Vaughn's wonderful epic. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Brian K. Vaughan = comics gold!
This is such a perfect blend of story and art with a terrific amount of politics and recent history to almost make you forget you're reading a comic book. The flashes to and from the present were done so well. My only slight complaint was this collection was too short. But, maybe that's just because I want more of a good thing. Was this review helpful?
