    more from this reviewer

    Not worth the money unless...

I had a great review however lost it.

In the end it's not worth the money however if you can borrow it from a friend and are very auditory learning oriented you should get it as a supplement.

It includes short audio recordings of all the topics necessary and it can be used before classes at night in the car commuting to school to just keep refreshing and remembering scientific content.

It is extremely expensive and it is a luxurious supplement.

    MCAT mania

when it comes time for studying for the mcat, people go crazy and spend ridiculous amounts of money on prep material and courses... i would not recommend purchasing this unless you drive a lot daily and need something productive to do with the time. Otherwise, you're better off using books and practicing. But this audio set isn't comprehensive enough to use as a sole study tool and its too expensive to use as a supplemental aid. Your best bet is to take a review course or just buy a book like Kaplan's Comprehensive review.

    Okay but Not Great

I bought this item about a month ago, and I have to be honest I was very intrigued by the idea of audio tutoring. But i have to admit it is not as good as it sounds. I mean Jon and Jordan do the best they can to make it interesting, but it does not digest very well while driving or during work. They go really fast and you cant really visualize all the formulas and structures without a book to go along with it. I think it would be a better buy if it came with a complimentary practice booklet. I think its ok but not great, and if I could do it again I wouldn't buy it since it costs so much and you cant even return it after you buy it. You are sort of stuck with it, like it or not.

    Good Review

I've been listening to this series on my way in to work for a week now, and I am very satisfied. I tend to learn much better by reading and writing than by listening, but with a 45 minute drive each way, I couldn't pass up this opportunity to do something useful with my drive. It seems to cover the material well, and has enough sound effects (and bad jokes, and stupid stories) to keep me awake, even at 4:50 in the morning. I must admit that some of the jokes and sound effects are just stupid, and I'm already sick of hearing Jordan and Jon's voices, but overall I think this title is well worth it for someone who has otherwise unproductive drive time or who learns well by listening.
