I bought this in the NookBook format ONLY because I have a dual monitor set-up and the Nook for PC app installed. Otherwise, it is too difficult to switch back and forth between the Excel file on the screen and the NookBook. Being able to view a reference book on my full-size monitor is preferable to viewing it on a Nook.

The book is logically outlined and presents the concepts in simple, easy-to-understand terms. The TOC is a bit difficult to navigate, as Nook for PC doesn't allow the TOC column to be widened. However, the search function certainly speeds up the process of finding the answer to a question quickly.

I think the Missing Manual series is superior to the Dummies series. I prefer my reference manuals to get straight to the point and cut out the nonsense. I plan to buy other manuals in this series in the NookBook format.

I loved this book. I learned Excel in the 80's or 90's and have been using Excel in the same way that I learned it back then. I purchased this book when we switched from Excel 2003 to 2010, just so that I could have a reference to help me do the things that I used to be able to do in the older version. At first, I cursed the ribbon, then just accepted it. This book showed me Excel features that I had been missing out on and new features added with 2010. Even though I use Excel every day at my job, I learned something new in every chapter.
