Police Risk Management At Its Best!

This book comprises qualitative research from a doctoral dissertation on the use of a social science model of proximate cause. Using the San Francisco Police Department as the target, Dr. Kinnaird places the focus on policy, training, risk identification, and foreseeability as the tools necessary for reducing an agency's liability profile. Academic in context, the book is easy to follow and, like most dissertations, is sectioned nicely between the purpose, literature review, research methods, outcomes, and suggestions. With an increase in litigation among law enforcement agencies across the United States, this book provides easy steps for implementation of quality control and the reduction of police misconduct.
